Democrat, Republican Fundraising Reports Reveal The 2018 Elections Are Already Decided

The liberal media will have you believe that 2017 was a terrible year… for the President and his supporters.

In fact, 2017 was great for Trump and the millions of Americans that voted for him. It was also a great year for liberals—if they’d admit it. A booming economy benefits everyone.

But it was not a good year for the DNC. After “resisting” the President and building a platform of hate, they are in big trouble. How much trouble?

Oh, they’re in debt by $6 million.

From The Week:

The Democratic National Committee had a rough 2017, plagued by leadership troubles, internal squabbling, and unflattering reports. To top it off, the party ended the year “dead broke,” says The Intercept’s Ryan Grim.

The Democratic Party is carrying more than $6 million in debt, according to year-end filings — and has just $6.5 million in the bank. Do the math, and the party is working with just over $400,000 overall. Meanwhile, the Republicans are swimming in pools of money. The Republican National Committee had raised $132 million by the end of 2017 — about twice as much as the DNC — and entered 2018 with almost $40 million to spare, with not a penny of debt…

The DNC’s rebuttal, The Washington Post reports, is that they raised more money in 2017 than they have in previous non-election years and were operating at something of a disadvantage given the “rebuilding job” undertaken by first-year chairman Tom Perez. While the DNC claims it is not borrowing money to pay the bills, Grim notes that the party would be operating at a financial loss if not for its borrowing.

Dead broke is not a good place to be. Especially when you have to “retake” Congress in November. That lack of funds tells us several things.

Firstly, it means people are giving up on the Democrats. Big donors can only give so much. Democrats have rich, greedy super villains supporting them. But the vast majority of their cash comes from smaller donations via energetic citizens. This debt means that avenue has dried up. More Americans are realizing that President Trump is doing a very good job. Why support the ingrates that try to stop him?

Next, this lack of funds does not bode well for the mid-term elections. Democrats were counting on winning a few more seats in Congress. Their hope was to get a few more liberals in office to better oppose the President. But you can’t build a platform out of hate. The Democrats have little to offer Americans, especially after Republicans gave them a huge tax cut.

Cash could have gone a long way in rebuilding their image. But they’re broke. And they don’t seem to have a strategy for winning back Americans that doesn’t include hating on the President.

But in the end, I’m not surprised.
