What’s Happening:
Has there been a president more globalist than Joe Biden? Maybe Obama, sure. But Biden seems to do everything in his power to appease foreign entities like the EU and the UN. Helping out regular Americans? That’s not even on his to-do list!
And it seems Biden might be in big trouble. Two states are teaming up to hold Joe accountable for a shocking rule. As it turns out, Biden might have given serious power to a group that exists outside the United States government. And these attorneys are demanding answers.
From Daily Caller:
Texas and Oklahoma are suing the Biden administration over a public health rule they argue illegally gives power to the World Health Organization (WHO), according to a copy of the complaint obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation…
“The Department’s definition of ‘public health emergency’ … exceeds the agency’s authority, as it unlawfully delegates to the World Health Organization (WHO) the authority to invoke emergency health powers in the United States — infringing on U.S. and state sovereignty,” the complaint says.
So, apparently, a rule by the Department of Health and Human Services delegated authority to an outside entity, the World Health Organization. According to the lawsuit brought by Texas and Oklahoma, this rule gives WHO the authority to decide if the United States is experiencing a public health emergency.
It sounds like this agency is letting a UN group tell it what to do. If that is true, it is very serious. The World Health Organization is not a part of the U.S. government. It is a non-governmental organization that simply exists to help countries address health issues.
In no way does it have the power to decide policy in the United States. Federal agencies are tasked with making decisions based on laws passed by Congress and the direction of the president. But if HHS was really doing what WHO said, it is the worst example of globalist overreach we’ve ever seen.
And it would explain a lot about the last three years!
The states actually petitioned Biden to repeal the rule back in June, but Joe refused. So, they are taking it to court to let judges decide if this rule is really handing the reins over to WHO. If so, it could be a violation of the Constitution.
Key Takeaways:
- Texas and Oklahoma are suing Biden over a rule that gives WHO power over the United States.
- The rule allows WHO–a foreign organization–to decide if the U.S. is experiencing a public health emergency.
- The states petitioned Biden to repeal the rule in June, but the administration refused.
