Despite all common sense, there are still some celebrities who think we care about their opinions. They take to social media to spew their leftist nonsense, demanding we agree with them because they are famous. One of the most outspoken leftists–and Second Amendment hater–is horror writer Stephen King.
It seems King thinks that, because he’s sold a lot of books, he has the right to lecture conservative Americans. He recently tried to scold Texas Sen. Ted Cruz about a trip he took to Cancun in 2021. But he wasn’t ready for the Texas Republican’s comeback.

“Multi-millionaire Leftist @StephenKing sits in his mansion in Maine and laughs at the kids being abused & the women being sexually assaulted on our Southern border,” Cruz responded. “He doesn’t give a damn about their suffering—or about the 853 migrants who died last year or the 100k Americans who died of drug overdoses. Nope. What does he want to talk about? Cancun.”
Sen. Ted Cruz discussed the growing humanitarian crisis happening at our border, on Joe Biden’s watch. He blasted the “president” for doing nothing as Americans are put in jeopardy by illegal immigration–and as migrants are being exploited by drug cartels and smugglers.
Cruz revealed that he’s spent a lot of time on the border and it’s “never been remotely this bad.” He called the ongoing illegal immigrant crisis an “invasion” that is making our families “less safe.”
Stephen King decided to respond by tweeting “You’ve also spent a lot of time in Cancun. That’s pretty south, right?” King, ignoring the real issue, tried to slander Cruz over a trip he took in 2021. The liberal media blasted Cruz at the time for taking his family to Cancun, during a deep freeze.
To claim Cruz “spent a lot of time” in Cancun is an obvious lie. An attempt by this Democrat to skew the facts and make the conversation about the senator’s personal life. But Cruz was not having it.
He decimated King by calling out his safe, easy life as a multi-millionaire. King lives very far removed from the border crisis, in blue Maine. He doesn’t know about the evil going on at our border, as cartels and smugglers abuse women and children.
Cruz pointed out 853 migrants died, just last year. And that 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses, thanks to drugs brought in through the border.
Democrats like King and Joe Biden have the luxury of ignoring this crisis. They don’t seem to care that lives are being lost. For a party that claims they care so much, but does so little, doesn’t that make them… hypocrites?
