If you’ve been to a big city, you’ve probably seen one of those crazies holding up a sign predicting the end of the world.

…did you know leftists just elected someone like that?

Okay, so maybe Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) isn’t quite that far gone, but she just made a pretty loony comment.

And here’s the best part:

When given the chance to retract or change it, she basically doubled down and cited a study that doesn’t verify her prediction in the slightest.

Yep, “the world is gonna end in 12 years,” so says the increasingly hilarious AOC:

‘And I think the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like…

…the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. You’re biggest issue, your biggest issue is how are going to pay for it?

…and like this is the war, this is our World War II. And I think for younger people looking at this are more like, how are we saying let’s take it easy when 3,000 Americans died last year.”

Wait, what?

We’ve only got 12 years left? When did this particularly wacko statistic arise?

And where does AOC get off comparing climate change to World War II? Military veterans won’t be too pleased with that…

Furthermore, how exactly did 3,000 Americans die from climate change in 2018?

Well, Ocasio-Cortez had a chance to explain and she did … and amazingly, she made it worse:

Okay, firstly, the source she cites doesn’t say anything about “the world ending” in 12 years.

In fact, it basically just says we have to make some changes, or the world’s temperature will increase by a half a degree.

Apparently, that half a degree could cause problems in the future.

But even if you buy this particular study (and there are plenty of contrasting studies, by the way), “the world ending” is quite the leap, wouldn’t you say?

Oh, and you also have to believe that climate change was the cause of Hurricane Maria.

And plenty of meteorologists might disagree with that, too.

The bottom line is AOC is just using more scare tactics to get what she wants, by twisting the truth and manipulating the facts to her advantage.

THAT’s what was exposed here, folks.
