Sanders, nine Democrats, and one Republican — Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) — voted in favor of advancing it, according to a C-SPAN producer.
Sen. Sanders pushed for a vote that would have, effectively, accused Israel of committing “human rights abuses” in its war against terror group Hamas. But both parties came together to reject the move, in a 72-11 vote.
