President Biden relies on a certain image, to win over many voters. The Democrat has presented himself as “blue-collar Joe,” in the hopes of convincing working Americans that he is their ally.
We’re not sure how Biden can spin his flagging economy, which has hurt many working-class voters.
Biden’s down-to-earth image has been shaken in recent days. Under his watch, the auto workers union went on strike for the first time. He failed to secure a deal with rail workers’ unions. And now, he is jetting off to Miami for an event no blue-collar folks could imagine attending.
From Just the News:
But after securing a key union endorsement this month, Biden will travel to Florida to hobnob with Miami elites at an event costing as much as $250,000 per head to attend…A recent event invitation from the Biden Victory Fund that Just the News obtained invited would-be contributors to the Biden Victory Fund to a Jan. 30 reception with President Joe Biden in Miami, Fla., with admission starting at $3,300.
Shortly after earning an endorsement from the United Auto Workers union, Biden is flying to Miami to host a big-dollar fundraiser dinner. Tickets start at $3,300. If someone wants to be a “Friend” they will have to pay $6,600.
A “Champion” requires a massive $25,000 donation. To join the National Finance Committee, you’ll have to give $50,000. “Co-Host” status costs $100,000 and “Cho-Chair” requires $250,000.
None of the blue-collar workers being told to vote for Joe Biden could ever attend this event, much less become a close “friend” of Joe’s. All the union workers who back Biden don’t have nearly the kind of access to his presidency than the small few who attend this dinner.
Democrats have long accused Republicans of catering only to the wealthy. Yet, the media rarely points out how Democrats are bankrolled by large, big-name donors from Hollywood, Silicon Valley, the academic world, and Wall Street.
While Biden promises to be an advocate for the working American, his record as president does not seem to prove that. His economic policies have promoted green initiatives, which benefit wealthy Americans. Biden has sent billions to foreign nations, while American cities struggle with crime and homelessness.
And Biden has ignored the border crisis, which has brought in 6 million migrants—who compete with working-class Americans for blue-collar jobs.
Key Takeaways:
- Biden will attend a Miami fundraiser that costs guests between $3,300 – $250,000.
- Joe Biden has long claimed to be a friend to blue-collar and union workers.
- The president’s economic policies have not appeared to help working families.
