Democrats should never again criticize Trump for claiming to be a master deal-making. Why?
Because Biden is suddenly realizing just how hard it can be.
In the aftermath of an unprecedented border crisis in 2018, Trump scored impressive agreements with South American countries.
Those deals protected all parties involved, quickly ending the crisis. Naturally, Joe Biden scrapped those deals.
He then tried to form new deals with these countries. But he’s learning the hard way how good Trump the dealmaker really was.
From The Epoch Times:
Guatemala’s government on Tuesday challenged an assertion from U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration that it agreed to surge troops to its borders to make migration to the United States more difficult.
“There is no document signed” regarding border security, the government said in a Spanish language statement.
As our border rages out of control, White House press secretary Psaki claims Biden was forging an agreement with Guatemala.
She claimed that 1,500 officers were “surging” to their border to stop migrant caravans.
But today, the government of Guatemala seems to have Biden, saying there was no surge. They haven’t signed any agreement with Biden the buffoon.
I think it’s safe to say, then, that people are still free to cross through Guatemala and Mexico on the way to storm our border.
Previously, Guatemala and other countries agreed with Trump to curtail caravans rushing to our border.
These countries agreed to require asylum seekers to request asylum in the first country they reached. That ended a major push to reach America—and discourage those just seeking to exploit America’s border.
Biden scrapped that deal, along with everything else Trump did to keep us safe. The result was hundreds of thousands streaming across our border in just three months.
Guatemala, Mexico, and other countries have no reason to help us out if Biden can’t make a good deal.
Given how powerless this administration has been, we shouldn’t be surprised that they can’t seal a deal with these foreign nations.
Do you think Biden will get the border situation under control?
- Joe Biden’s office claimed they had a deal with Guatemala to secure their border.
- The nation’s government revealed they have signed no document.
- The supposed “surge” of officers is non-existent.
