What’s Happening:
Donald Trump put Joe Biden’s feet to the fire during last night’s debate.
He held Biden to his many comments about banning fracking, a major industry and energy source.
During the debate, Joe actually said he never supported a ban on fracking.
He even dared Trump to find his comments “on tape.” So, Trump obliged:

That was only the tip of the iceberg.
In a statement that seemed to shock the moderator, Joe Biden promised to do something even more devastating to the economy:
Joe Biden revealed he’d “transition” from the oil industry, meaning he’d shut down America’s oil industry.
The moderator even had to ask “Why would you do that?” From the tone of her voice, she knew Joe Biden just lost the election.
The oil industry is one of the country’s biggest and most important industries. Under Trump, we’ve become the world’s largest exporter of oil—the first time in decades.
Our oil industry employs hundreds of thousands, not to mention it provides most states with electricity.
And of course, your car is powered by oil (even your Tesla, which gets its power from oil-fired power plants).
This comment was so shocking, that it has already appeared to change some people’s vote:
“I went in leaning toward Joe Biden. I’m really leaning toward Donald Trump right now,” says an undecided voter from Maine.
“[Biden] said by 2025 we’re gonna be independent of oil? That’s impossible!” pic.twitter.com/Vrm4dipgwd

“I went in leaning toward Joe Biden. I’m really leaning toward Donald Trump right now,” says an undecided voter from Maine.
“[Biden] said by 2025 we’re gonna be independent of oil? That’s impossible!”
Joe can point to environmental and health reasons for his desire to ban oil, but those ring hollow.
The oil industry is vital. And alternatives like solar and wind cannot replace the loss of power if oil is gone.
Just ask California how they like their rolling blackouts, since embracing alternative sources.
His campaign is trying to spin it, but there’s no going back. Joe wants to cripple our energy dominance.
Key Takeaways:
- Trump called out Biden’s comments about banning fracking.
- Biden went further, promising to “transition out” and shut down the oil industry if elected president.
- The oil industry is responsible for many jobs and the electricity needed for most Americans.
