Within minutes of Joe Biden announcing that he would be dropping out of the presidential race on Sunday, Democrats were already anointing Kamala Harris as his replacement. Unfortunately for the left, however, this is already proving to be a huge mistake.
The major Biden donor John Morgan is speaking out to offer a warning to the Democratic establishment about Harris. He’s the voice of millions of moderate Democrats who have no interest in ever supporting someone as far left as she is.
Democrats might want to heed Morgan’s warning before it’s too late. If they don’t they might just be handing Donald Trump the election.

“If Trump World could pick anybody to run against, I think they pick her,” he told ABC News. “If she’s a nominee, Mar-a-Lago has a real big party that night.”In fact, Morgan believes that Biden’s endorsement of Harris is a subtle message to his own party, whose brokers essentially bullied him into stepping aside as Donald Trump became the clear favorite to win the election.
“Joe Biden’s endorsement of Kamala is his f*** you to all who pushed him out,” Morgan said. “Be careful what you wish for.”
It should be noted that Morgan donated $1 million to Biden’s reelection campaign before he dropped out.
Morgan Lists Out Other Potential Candidates
The Democrat establishment is trying to act like the entire party is united behind Harris. They claim that she’s raised a record-number of funds in the days since Biden dropped out. Given how unpopular Harris is, however, this is extremely hard to believe.
In reality, there are plenty of moderate Democrats who are just as turned off by woke, radically leftwing policies as conservatives are. They would rather have a common sense Democrat in office than a far-left puppet like Harris.
That’s why Morgan is begging his party to reconsider and name a far more appropriate contender in Harris’ place.

Instead of the vice president, Morgan said the Democratic Party should choose to run Sen. Joe Manchin (I-W.Va.), Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, or Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as its nominee. Even former first lady Michelle Obama, he predicted, would win in a “landslide.” Obama, however, has repeatedly maintained that she has no interest in running for president.
Morgan’s claim that Biden endorsed Harris on his way out the door just to get back at the Democrat establishment that has abandoned him is certainly an interesting one. He could have stayed quiet and allowed his party to decide between one of the more moderate Democrats listed above. Indeed, it seems that most if not all of them would have a far better chance of beating Trump than Harris did.
Instead, Biden appears to be taking the Democratic party down with him by endorsing someone who has been one of the least popular vice presidents of all time.
In the end, Democrats should be taking the warnings of donors like Morgan very seriously. If they don’t they might just be headed for a landslide defeat.
