On Thursday, March 7, President Biden gave his State of the Union address. Very quickly, the critics began talking. Democrat strategists praised Biden for his “energy,” perhaps in an attempt to silence talk of his advanced age.
But many tore his speech apart. They said it sounded more like a partisan campaign speech, rather than a clear assessment of the country. The president who once vowed unity spent most of the night attacking over half the country.
There were many bad moments in the speech, according to Republicans. But perhaps the worst came when a member of Congress dared him to say the name of murder victim Laken Riley. This is what Biden did.

Say her name!” when he began talking about the issue of illegal immigration.Biden responded, seemingly mispronouncing Riley’s name while admitting that an illegal alien is accused of murdering her on the University of Georgia (UGA) campus in February.

Biden reacted to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene while the president was discussing the issue of illegal immigration. She demanded that Biden acknowledge Laken Riley, a woman who was killed by an illegal let in by Biden’s administration. Biden shouted back but butchered the slain woman’s name.
It appears he said “Lincoln Riley.” This did not go over well with the many Americans who blame Biden for her death. Her accused killer, Jose Antonio Ibarra of Venezuela, was allowed to stay in the U.S. thanks to Biden’s DHS refusal to enforce border law.
The death of this college student has highlighted Biden’s glaring failures to uphold U.S. immigration law. The president has all but neglected the border, as activist officials within his administration welcomed 7.2 million migrants, shuttling them across the country.
Ibarra had been arrested for child endangerment in New York City, but was released thanks to the city’s pro-migrant sanctuary laws. Republicans have put equal blame on Democrats in blue cities and Biden’s administration.
Biden’s fumble only served to underscore his administration’s seeming unwillingness to secure the border. Joe said his “heart goes out” to Riley’s family, yet he does nothing to prevent future Americans from dying at the hands of migrant invaders.
