What’s Happening:
Another day passes and Joe Biden continues to fail. He thought he had a win with his “bipartisan” gun bill.
But the bill does nothing to stop shootings, only makes it harder for young Americans to exercise their rights.
Joe tried to tout the bill as some kind of victory during a speech. It did not go well. In fact, he botched a big detail.
From Fox News:
President Biden mistakenly said the mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida, happened more than a century ago during a speech Monday celebrating the passage of a bipartisan gun bill.
“Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, 1918, 17 dead, 17 injured,” Biden said while advocating for red flag laws, which he argued would have stopped the Parkland shooter.
Yeah, not great, Joe. And red flag laws didn’t stop recent shooters… so what are you talking about?
Biden did get a rude awakening, though, from one of the Parkland victims’ parents.
From Fox News:
The father of a child who died in a mass shooting at a Parkland, Florida, school interrupted President Biden’s Monday event celebrating the passage of a bipartisan gun bill.
Manuel Oliver, who ahead of the event tweeted criticism of it, was escorted out after shouting as Biden was speaking. Oliver’s Twitter bio says he is the father of Joaquin Oliver, who was one of the victims of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018.
One of the fathers of a child who was killed at Parkland attended Biden’s “celebration” of the passage of his gun control bill.
Manuel Oliver, who apparently was not impressed by Biden’s “achievement,” interrupted Joe as he was rambling on.
And White House staff escorted the man from the event.
How insulting. Biden pretends like this bill was passed in honor of men like Oliver, whose son was murdered.
But his staff kicked him out of this event for speaking up.
Aren’t we supposed to listen to and respect victims of shootings? Why is Biden having his people kick them out of these events?
Unless, these events are not about helping Americans, but propping up Joe’s failed image?
This bill has done nothing to help Joe’s approval. Even now it continues to sink in all major polls.
Americans don’t trust Joe to fix the shooting problem. And they blame him for many of the crises hurting our country.
Just like Oliver, Biden is ignoring us.
Key Takeaways:
- Joe Biden wrongly said the Parkland shooting happened over 100 years ago.
- He was interrupted in his speech by one of the victims’ fathers, who was kicked out.
- Biden is touting his new gun control bill, which will not prevent shootings.
