What’s Happening:

In recent years, we’ve seen hundreds of thousands of Americans flee blue states. Some worried that Democrats were going to flip conservative states. But, as it turns out, many of the people leaving the West Coast are patriots, sick and tired of their former states’ socialist governments.

But not everyone has the luxury of pulling up stakes and leaving their state. And, to some, it is their home where they will live and die. That doesn’t mean, though, they are going to let the radical left destroy everything they hold dear. Because, the 12th county in this blue state has begun exploring secession.

Wallowa County in eastern Oregon submitted a petition aimed at forcing a ballot initiative in 2023 that would move the county out of Democrat-led Oregon and into GOP-led Idaho and is part of the Greater Idaho movement aimed to “relocate the Oregon/Idaho border to make both states better.” […]

Wallowa is the 12th Oregon county that has voted to leave and become part of Idaho. If the petition gets enough signatures the County Clerk would advance an initiative onto the May 2023 Wallowa County ballot. That ballot measure was proposed by Greater Idaho and has the votes of eleven other counties.

It seems like this secession movement isn’t going away. Why leave your state, when you can just make your state leave you? A growing number of eastern counties in Oregon want to break from the Democrat-dominated state and join Idaho.

The westernmost portion of Oregon is becoming increasingly leftist. That’s where big cities are dominated by progressive voters and leaders, especially Portland–which appears to be the hotbed for Antifa and other radical groups.

But the rest of the state doesn’t share West Oregon’s radical views. Yet, their voices are being lost in the state government, because they do not have a majority. Their solution? To break from Oregon and join Idaho, a largely conservative state.

There are many steps that need to be taken for that to become a reality. And the Democrats who run Oregon’s government will do what they can to stop it, to prevent losing tax revenue. But if there is enough momentum, these Americans’ voices will be heard.

Who knows? Maybe more people in other states will follow their lead.
