What’s Happening:
This week, Sen. Joe Manchin torched Biden’s massive spending agenda. Sticking to his guns, the senator from a Trump-loving state has refused to back Biden’s now $1.75 trillion socialist package. Needless to say, the left is losing their minds.
While moderates are on Manchin’s side, the progressive left has all but gone to war with him. House Democrats can’t control what a senator does, but they have come out in the media with disgusting attacks against his character and reputation. One far-left extremist has certainly gone too far.
From Fox News:
Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., a member of the left-wing House “Squad” who supports efforts to defund the police, released a statement Monday chastising Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., for the lack of support he has given President Biden’s Build Back Better Act, saying his unwillingness to support the legislation is “anti-Black, anti-child, anti-woman, and anti-immigrant.”…
The freshman Missouri congresswoman also said that Manchin “does not get to dictate the future of our country” and that she does not “trust his assessment of what our communities need the most.”
Big surprise. A progressive leftist didn’t get what she wanted, so she’s resorting to emotional attacks and insults. Joe Manchin laid out very clearly why he is opposed to Biden’s irresponsible, expensive spending bill. But Bush resorted to slander, accusing Manchin of being “anti-black,” among other things.
Bush wants us to believe a massive spending bill that puts millions of Americans on welfare is good for “black, brown, Indigenous communities.” As if she can just mention minorities and she can get whatever she wants.
In reality, this bill hurts working Americans of all backgrounds and rewards border jumpers.
Not only that, but the massive spending and increased taxes will mean lower wages and fewer jobs for Americans, including black Americans and other minorities. Funny how Bush refuses to acknowledge the sad reality that more government spending means less opportunity for American minorities.
In reality, she must be thinking about all those progressive groups she promised money through grants and other government contributions.
Manchin, on the other hand, is sincerely concerned for the well-being of Americans back in West Virginia. Biden’s radical bill has much of the “green new deal” in it, which would cripple many industries in Manchin’s home state.
Coal is just for starters. Much of what Biden wants to get done would hurt working families and leave the elderly in the dust.
Odd that Bush doesn’t seem all that concerned about that.
Key Takeaways:
- House progressive Cori Bush attacked Joe Manchin over his rejection of Biden’s spending bill.
- The socialist accused Manchin of being “anti-black” for not supporting reckless spending.
- Bush is a member of the far-left “squad” whose radical policies have hurt Democrats in the House.
