Democrats continue to push their pro-abortion agenda, in the aftermath of Roe’s demise.

Blue states are going overboard, almost forcing Americans to embrace abortion. Whether they like it or not.

They even tried to force churches to pay for abortions. But a judge just froze them in their tracks.

The chief judge of California’s Eastern District, Kimberly J. Mueller, appointed by former President Barack Obama, ruled on August 24 that the California Department of Managed Health Care could not force churches to pay for abortions against their will.

Look at that! An Obama-appointed judge, Kimberly J. Mueller, ruled that California could not force churches to pay for abortions.

To do so, she ruled, would violate the Constitution.

This case started because the California Department of Managed Health Care claimed churches needed to pay for abortions as part of the coverage offered by their health insurance plans.

It’s no secret that many churches are pro-life, even in California. Large churches employ numerous staff and provide health insurance.

So, it would be obvious that these churches would not include abortions as part of the coverage they provided. That would violate their convictions about the practice.

But we have a state agency trying to force religious groups to pay for a procedure they believe is murder.

Wow, talk about trampling over the First Amendment!

We can’t help but imagine that, in previous generations, the government would have never dreamed of forcing churches to do this.

But this shows you just how obsessive Democrats have become in pushing abortion. They don’t even care if they violate the deeply-held beliefs of religious Americans.

California actually tried to abuse its authority by forcing churches to pay for abortions. The First Amendment be damned.

The real shocker is that an Obama-appointed judge upheld the Constitution and gave these churches a big win.

It appears she put the law ahead of whatever personal feelings or agenda she might have, something very rare for a Democrat-picked judge.
