Congress Seeks to Block Trump’s Caribbean Strikes on Narco-Terrorists

It’s sad but it’s true. For decades, a river of poison has flowed across our border, devastating towns and destroying American families, while politicians in D.C. gave us the usual song and dance. It’s a crisis that has become background noise inside the Beltway, a tragedy they discuss with furrowed brows before moving on to the next cocktail party.

But now, we finally have a President with the guts to treat these narco-terrorists like the enemy combatants they are and use American might to stop them at the source. He’s taking the fight to them. And right on cue, the Swamp is having a complete meltdown.

From ‘Fox News’:

Congress wants to seize the reins and take greater control of U.S. military action in the Caribbean, as the Trump administration’s strikes in the region’s waters come under intense scrutiny.

While some lawmakers have been questioning the legality of strikes that the administration says aim to cut down on the flow of drugs into the U.S., the attacks have attracted heightened scrutiny amid revelations that U.S. forces conducted a second strike killing alleged drug smugglers on Sept. 2 – after a first strike left survivors. Lawmakers have voiced concerns about the legality of that strike.

This is just ridiculous. While our military is sending cartel boats to the bottom of the Caribbean, Democrats in Congress are drafting legislation to… what? Give the smugglers a head start? Just as President Trump’s decisive action begins to work, career politicians are launching a full-scale revolt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They are, in effect, running cover for the very criminals who are killing our citizens.

The Constitution Versus the Committee Room

Don’t fall for their deliberate and dangerous word games. The D.C. establishment and its media lapdogs shriek about the War Powers Act, pretending the President is “stumbling into an unnecessary war” with Venezuela. This isn’t a ‘war’; it’s taking out the trash in international waters. These are not soldiers of a sovereign nation; they are designated terrorists bringing death to our doorstep.

The Constitution is not complicated on this point. The President is the Commander in Chief. As the White House correctly stated, he has “full authority to use every element of American power to stop drugs from flooding into our country.” The procedural complaints from Sens. Tim Kaine and Jack Reed aren’t about legal principles; they’re a cynical power grab to paralyze a President they despise, even if it means the cartels win.

A Clear Choice: Strength or Surrender

The contrast here is blindingly obvious. On one side, you have a President whose entire career is defined by action—the same leader who brokered a historic peace in the Middle East because he understands that strength prevents conflict. On the other side, you have Democrats who are “deeply disturbed.” Disturbed by what, exactly? That there might be fewer drugs poisoning American kids next week?

Their demands for investigations and the release of classified footage are nothing but a thinly veiled strategy to stall, demoralize, and obstruct. While President Trump is focused on protecting American families, these politicians are obsessed with protecting their own turf in Washington. Their outrage isn’t about the rule of law; it’s about their loss of control.

This isn’t about policy anymore. It’s a battle for who runs this country: a President elected to protect it, or the unelected bureaucrats who would rather see it fail. President Trump is fighting for us against enemies both foreign and domestic. The only question left is why so many in Washington have chosen to side with the enemy.

Key Takeaways

  • President Trump is using his constitutional authority to defend America.
  • Democrats in Congress are trying to obstruct national security operations.
  • Decisive action against cartels is necessary to protect our communities.
  • This conflict is about American strength versus political weakness.
