It doesn’t seem like Democrats are very happy with CNN’s town hall event with Donald Trump. They must have gone into that night thinking the network was going to destroy the former president. Instead, he managed to win over the crowd, besting the liberal host at every turn. Now, even CNN’s own hosts are attacking the network like little babies.

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper called his own network’s town hall with Donald Trump the previous evening “disturbing,” and told his viewers, “You have every right to be outraged and angry and never watch this network again.”
“…Many of you are upset that someone who attempted to destroy our democracy was invited to sit on a stage in front of a crowd of Republican voters to answer questions and predictably continued to spew lie, after lie, after lie.”
Wow, tell it to your therapist, Anderson! He’s just one of numerous liberals who were angered that CNN gave Trump the chance to speak freely, without the usual spin or distortion. Even the crowd applauded much of what Trump said, despite the host’s attempts at criticizing him.
But even as liberals whine, CNN might be considering bringing Trump back again and again. Because, according to the former president, the event was a smash hit for the network.

“People are criticizing CNN for giving me a Forum to tell the TRUTH. I believe it was a very smart thing that they did, with Sky High Ratings that they haven’t seen in a very long time,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “It was by far the biggest Show of the night, the week, and the month!”
Trump claimed that the ratings for his CNN town hall were the best of the night, even the month. That should come as no surprise to anyone who’s been following Donald Trump for the last seven years.
But not only that, Trump said that “many minds were changed” after his town hall appearance. According to Trump, his “common sense” response on issues like Afghanistan, inflation, and the border won over viewers.
Because this was on a liberal-leaning network, folks that normally don’t hear directly from Trump heard his views directly. Perhaps for the very first time. It is likely that Republicans, independents, and perhaps even Democrats changed their minds about Donald Trump. They may have realized that Trump was an effective leader deserving of a second term… and Joe Biden is a crooked fool.
And that’s the real reason Anderson is so upset.
