Let’s be honest. The mainstream media has a script, and they stick to it. For years, they’ve been selling us the tired story of a progressive takeover, where traditional values are a fossil and radical new voices are the future. Yet time and again, this grand prediction machine sputters and dies when it meets the quiet resolve of voters who simply refuse to be managed.

This conflict is most glaring within the Democrat Party itself. A quiet civil war is unfolding between the coastal elite, with their celebrity megaphones and preferred candidates, and the actual Americans they need to win. It is a fundamental clash between performative outrage and grounded reality. And in Texas, a state that prizes its independence, the radical wing just learned that a Hollywood stamp of approval doesn’t count for much.

From ‘Breitbart’:

Recent polling ahead of the March 3 primary showed Crockett leading. A University of Texas at Tyler poll conducted Feb. 13–22 surveyed 1,117 registered voters and 959 likely voters and found Crockett with 55 percent support compared to Talarico’s 37 percent, outside the poll’s 3.2-point margin of error. A separate University of Texas/Texas Politics Project poll conducted Feb. 2–14 among 369 likely Democrat primary voters showed Crockett ahead, 56 percent to 44 percent.

The primary also drew involvement from former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris recorded robocalls supporting Crockett, telling voters that Texas has the chance to “send a fighter like Jasmine Crockett” to the United States Senate. … Rapper Cardi B posted a video on Instagram urging Texas voters to back Crockett, saying, “If you want somebody to fight for your community, if you want somebody that’s gonna go up there and represent you and represent your issues, please vote for my sister, Jasmine Crockett.”

And just like that, the coronation was canceled.

The heir apparent, the media darling, the candidate who was practically measuring the drapes for her Senate office, was soundly defeated. In a political bombshell, Rep. Jasmine Crockett was taken down by state Rep. James Talarico, 53% to 46%. The experts were left scratching their heads, but for anyone paying attention, this wasn’t a mystery. It was a victory for common sense.

A Rebuke to the Celebrity Class

Crockett’s entire campaign reeked of establishment arrogance. She eagerly accepted the backing of Vice President Kamala Harris, whose automated phone calls likely reminded Texans more of the administration’s catastrophic border policy than anything else.

And the real kicker? She was endorsed by rapper Cardi B—a “cultural icon,” if you can call her that—whose entire brand is the opposite of everything most Texans value. Great strategy. The political and cultural brain trust in Washington D.C. and Hollywood truly believed they could anoint a candidate and Texans would just obediently fall in line. They were spectacularly wrong.

The Left Eats Its Own

When the results rolled in, Crockett’s reaction was as predictable as it was pathetic. Instead of a moment of reflection, she and her team immediately reached for the Left’s go-to playbook, chapter one: When you lose, scream “foul.” Her camp began spinning tales of “voter suppression,” the political equivalent of flipping the board game over because you can’t accept you were beaten.

Only when the numbers were undeniable did she issue a bland statement about “party unity.” But the damage was done. Her first instinct wasn’t to respect the voters; it was to delegitimize their choice. It revealed a stunning contempt for the very democratic process she claims to champion.

Key Takeaways

  • Voters are rejecting out-of-touch endorsements from Hollywood celebrities and the D.C. establishment.
  • The Democrat party’s far-left, squad-style politics are proving to be a liability, even in their own primaries.
  • Be wary of progressives who use the language of faith and family to disguise a radical, anti-liberty agenda.
