Americans have suffered the last few years under political turmoil, inflation, an uncertain economy, and the burden of a country that keeps adding to its debt. For some there appears to be no end to the strife in their lives.
Democrats haven’t helped in this process. Joe Biden’s administration has been in charge with each new burden placed on Americans since he took office. One burden that often goes overlooked, thanks to mainstream media, is the financial burden caused by illegal immigration.
Illegals have strained public services in almost every major city across the nation. Democrat mayors from coast to coast have warned that budgets for city services paid for by American taxpayers are in jeopardy because blue-run cities are catering to illegal immigrants.
One mid-western mayor has told his city residents to get ready to buckle up even more. Past sanctuary city policies have opened the floodgate of illegal immigrants, and Mayor Mike Johnston (D-CO) of Denver laid an even heavier burden on his city residents.

The Democrat Mayor of Denver, Colorado, is imposing wartime-like “shared sacrifice” on Americans rather than curbing his welcome for tens of thousands of illegal migrants. “This is a plan for shared sacrifice,” said Johnston who has already granted aid and support to 35,000 illegal migrants.
Johnston set his plan in action as he tried to blame Republicans for the problem his party has created. Just days after a Republican minority blocked an increased migration measure in the Senate, Johnston slammed his political counterparts.
Johnston defied reality by blaming his city’s problems on the “devastating impact of the failure of Republican leadership in Congress.” He forgot to mention how GOP efforts stopped the Senate deal designed to open the American border to a massive influx of migrants and deliver $5 billion to help settle them in cities and towns across the nation.
The blue-city mayor said Denver residents face “hard decisions” to reduce budgets across the city to mee the costs of providing for “newcomers in the city.” He painted himself in an earlier speech to fellow Democrats as a wartime leader working to “welcome newcomers to build a new life.”
Johnston’s plans to cut budgets for services to Americans and blame Republicans fit the overall Democrat plan to rally voter turnout in 2024. He appeared to parrot Biden’s attack on Republicans where he plans to blame his political opponents for his failure to secure the border and take care of Americans.
“I’ll be taking this issue to the country … Every day between now and November, the American people are going to know that the only reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican friends,” Biden claimed.
As Johnston ignored the suffering of Americans, he shifted away from liberal empathy for citizens and focused on poor migrants who might lean toward repaying him with gratitude for taking care of them. He did this as Americans in Denver are forced to suffer under rising housing costs, declining wages, and a pervasive drug addiction problem.
Denver city services are almost to the point of breaking. As an example, the Democrat-inspired wave of poor migrants forced the partial shutdown of a city hospital following 20,000 hospital visits by migrants in January.
