After Democrat Mayor Branded ‘Worst in America,’ She’s Hit with a Sickening Accusation

Democrats have screamed for years alleging corruption among their political opponents. They try to convince the public that anyone who disagrees with them is doing something wrong or outright illegal.

The problem with all these claims is that critics say they should look in the mirror before accusing others. Liberal politicians have been exposed more and more for their conduct that reveals how they manipulate the people they pledged to serve.

National headlines have gripped a small town in Illinois after the mayor there was labeled the “worst mayor in America.” The Democrat darling is facing new accusations that she targeted civil servants trying to do their job of helping residents in the city.

From Fox News:
Tiffany Henyard, the scandal-ridden Democratic mayor of Dolton, Illinois, who has been engulfed in controversy in recent months, is now facing a new headache involving allegations of her “targeting” the town’s own park district.

FOX 32 Chicago reported Tuesday that the Dolton Park District is sounding the alarm about $2,000 worth of citations it has received from the Village of Dolton over allegedly doing work without a permit. Two of the four tickets were issued for installing new playground equipment with the other two for spreading new mulch on the playgrounds.

The mayor’s employees in city offices have been accused of blocking necessary permits that support two grants worth a stunning $600,000 for park improvements. A $400,000 grant funding rehabilitation of Blackstone Park could expire if the permits aren’t issued by Henyard’s office within the next few weeks.

Such a loss would also leave taxpayers on the hook for the $150,000 already spent on the project.

Dolton Park District executive director Stephanie Wiedeman said the district has gone to the village for permitting and has not received a response. She said the city is refusing to provide the necessary permits.

Citing the park district for applying annual mulch to help the kids appears vindictive. I can’t help but wonder, what kind of leadership targets their own community for trying to do good?

“Every year we replenish the mulch in the park to ensure the kids are playing on a safe surface—healthy mulch, and we do this every year,” Dolton Park District President Cleo Jones said.

The Dolton Park District is a separate government entity from city offices. Jones suspects Henyard’s office is targeting the district because her political opponents on the Dolton Board of Trustees were allowed to hold meetings on district property after being refused meeting space in Village Hall.

“We do not play politics here. And do not put us in the middle of politics by issuing us these political citations,” Jones said.

Wiedeman, who has been an outspoken critic of Henyard, believes the Park District is suffering because the mayor is targeting her. Without the permits, Wiedeman said people won’t be able to enjoy all the amenities the grants will offer.

Henyard has proclaimed herself a “supermayor” as she rides roughshod over residents of the small town south of Chicago. She has made national headlines because of her eccentric ways and there are investigations into her lavish spending.

Henyard also faces accusations of an alleged sexual assault by one of her allies during a trip to Las Vegas. The alleged victim claims to have been fired for revealing the situation. Henyard’s cancer charity is also facing a probe.

Reports have surfaced that Henyard has a lavish lifestyle thanks to a combined salary of nearly $300,000, more than the state’s governor. She has been called out by residents where the median income is $24,000, and the FBI is reported to be investigating Henyard based on accusations of misconduct. The six people who complained include business owners, a former village employee, and one or more public officials.

Key Takeaways:

  • An embattled mayor in Dolton, Illinois was accused of “targeting” political opponents.
  • Democrat Tiffany Henyard’s office has refused permits for the Dolton Park District.
  • District leaders have opposed Henyard, and the village could lose $600,000 in grants.
