California welcomed 2018 by legalizing marijuana. To some, it was long overdue. But you better think twice before you break out those bongs, amigos. It looks like the feds have something to say about it.
Since Trump was inaugurated, California has led the charge of liberal opposition. This pathetic rabble of democrats have passed resolutions and laws. All to spite Donald Trump. They’ve made California a sanctuary state. Which will attract millions of criminal aliens.
Now they have legalized marijuana. This, after the Trump administration made drug addiction a major concern.
But it looks like Attorney General Jeff Sessions has plans that will upset the Mary Jane apple cart.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is rescinding an Obama-era policy that paved the way for legalized marijuana to flourish in states across the country, creating new confusion about enforcement and use just three days after a new legalization law went into effect in California.
President Donald Trump’s top law enforcement official was to announce the change Thursday, people with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press. Instead of the previous lenient-federal-enforcement policy, Sessions’ new stance will instead let federal prosecutors where marijuana is legal decide how aggressively to enforce longstanding federal law prohibiting it, the people said…
Sessions, who has assailed marijuana as comparable to heroin and has blamed it for spikes in violence, had been expected to ramp up enforcement. Marijuana advocates argue that legalizing the drug eliminates the need for a black market and will likely reduce violence, since criminals would no longer control the marijuana trade.
But that is completely false. Legal marijuana in Colorado has brought only problems. It has empowered the black market, which can now operate without fear of reprisal. Deaths and poisonings are up. And they’ve only seen a minor tax revenue increase.

In the years since, Colorado has seen an increase in marijuana related traffic deaths, poison control calls, and emergency room visits. The marijuana black market has increased in Colorado, not decreased. And, numerous Colorado marijuana regulators have been indicted for corruption… The total tax revenue for Colorado was $13,327,123,798, making marijuana only 1.18{75726800c12fe2ebed14402fd98444a61f7eda42751f92330bc58faf20bd8821} of the state’s total tax revenue.
That’s hardly a victory. Consider what California and other states are doing. Democrats claim to be the party for the working class and poor. Yet they legalize a drug that many poor are already abusing. That will only further harm them. Where is the funding for drug rehabilitation? Where are the laws that bring back jobs?
In recent years, California has increased taxes, driven businesses from the state, protected criminal aliens, and legalized drug use. They are doing the opposite of what good government should.
If Jeff Sessions wants to respond by sending a DOJ boot up their butt, then good. It’s time California learned it can’t abuse its citizens forever.
Expect to see big changes in how the federal government handles drug abuse. Every state that legalized marijuana is in for a rude awakening.
