What’s Happening:
It’s no secret that Americans are becoming increasingly divided. Ambitious politicians have driven a wedge between Americans–to the point where some think we are better off if we split up.
Some leftists seem to love the idea, including one activist who once suggested blue states break off and join Canada.
It seems this sentiment has found popularity once again, in the aftermath of the 2022 Midterms. Democrats, apparently, would love nothing more than to break off and leave the Union in the dust. But one popular conservative cartoonist is suggesting another radical idea: victory.
From Twitter:
Veto. We lose territory and gain nothing. Commies begging for handouts once again.
Counter proposal: We keep the land, send these populations to Canada, build a wall on our northern border and along Alaska. Also, we restore Keystone XL because I said so.

— George Alexopoulos (@GPrime85) November 11, 2022
Conservative cartoonist George Alexopoulos fired back against the popular notion that conservative and liberal states split. He points out that it would only hurt America if we lost territory, giving up our nation to appease angry Democrats.
Instead, he comically suggests we invent angry leftists to just move to Canada. Build a wall up North to encourage them to stay, all the way up to Alaska. And he’d like us to bring back the Keystone XL pipeline, something many would agree with.
Alexopoulos’ sentiment is one that needs to be repeated among Americans. Now is not the time to look for more reasons to divide. If America is to survive–and gasp thrive–it needs to stay together. Conservatives need to find inroads even in blue regions, to protect our liberties and strengthen our way of life.
Most Americans aren’t angry liberals who hate our country. Why can’t we find ways to unite the nation, rather than drive our neighbors away? Shouldn’t we look for leaders who can bridge the gap with moderates and independents, instead of generating more conflict?
Perhaps not with the leaders who are the loudest right now. But if conservatives look for candidates who put us first and unite rather than divide, we have a chance.
Otherwise, Democrats will keep electing maniacs like Joe Biden and John Fetterman, just to get away from Republicans.
Key Takeaways:
- Cartoonist George Alexopoulos fired back at calls for America to split.
- He suggested angry liberals can move up to Canada, while the rest of us stay united.
- Radical candidates have driven a wedge between Americans, leaving us more divided.
