DeSantis Scores 2 Major Wins for Florida Schools – Millions Could Be Attracted by Bill of Rights and Pay Raises

What’s Happening:

Democrats have spread the false claim that the Florida government is “going after” schools. They say that the Parental Rights Bill–which protects children from groomers–actually hurts teachers. Some leftist teachers (who deserve a swift kick out the door), claim they are being attacked by DeSantis and the state.

What are they going to say about this latest news?

Not that long ago, Gov. DeSantis incentivized good cops to move to Florida. Police who relocated to Florida got a big bonus. Now, the governor is looking to encourage good, talented teachers in the state with a new bill. Even liberals will consider moving!

From Just the News:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a pay raise for teachers and the Teacher Bill of Rights bill at a news conference in Miami on Tuesday…

Teacher salaries will increase over the next four years after lawmakers appropriated $1.05 billion for that purpose. This comes after $3.3 billion has been spent on teacher pay raises over the past five years, according to DeSantis.

Ron DeSantis signed a bill that will increase teachers’ pay over the next four years. On top of that, this bill protects teachers from being forced to join corrupt, leftist teachers’ unions. Previously, the unions took money right out of teachers’ paychecks!

But now, teachers will get to decide if they want to join the union or not. Teachers can drop out of a public sector union with a written request. And teachers’ unions will now be subject to annual audits to expose waste, fraud, and abuse.

Oh, you know those leftist teachers won’t like that! Teachers’ unions constantly demand more money. But what are they doing with this money? Student test scores are dropping. Teachers are pushing drag shows onto children.

Yeah, something tells me all this union money is going into the union bosses’ pockets. This new bill will put the fear of God into these corrupt unions, and perhaps shut them down for good.

Key takeaways:

  • DeSantis signed a bill increasing teachers’ pay and putting brakes on teachers’ unions.
  • The bill will increase teachers’ pay over the next four years.
  • It will also require audits of teachers’ unions to expose waste and fraud.
