This news is sure to put a smile on your face. Especially if you plan on buying a car, ever.
It seems like Obama really didn’t like Americans. At every turn, he tried to make our lives harder. He passed rules that punished us at work, put burdens on our health care, and simply made it harder to make a living.
It’s because he was a socialist and didn’t like the idea of you getting rich and successful. He’d rather tax you into oblivion, giving your hard-earned money to those who refuse to work.
That’s not Donald Trump. He believes in empowering Americans to make their own choices and become successful.
To that end, he’s rolling back a terrible Obama plan that would add thousands to your next car purchase.

The Trump administration on Thursday moved to freeze fuel economy standards in what officials described as an effort to give drivers access to “safer” and “more affordable” vehicles, in the latest swipe at former President Barack Obama’s legacy…
The Department of Transportation and Environmental Protection Agency proposed the vehicle change as the first formal step in setting new standards for model years 2021 through 2026. The plan would freeze the Obama-era requirements set to take effect after 2020…
Keeping the current standards in place, which were finalized in 2012, would add $2,340 to the cost of owning a new car, and would impose more than $500 billion in costs to the economy over the next 50 years, according to the Department of Transportation.
Insane, right? In a pathetic attempt to “protect” the environment, Obama’s was forcing car companies to meet unrealistic efficiency standards. Those standards would have inflated the cost of making and buying a car.
All to pander to the environmentalists. You know, the people who don’t want us driving cars.
The irony is that this policy would have made it harder for working Americans to buy a new car. As a result, they would have kept driving their older, much less fuel-efficient vehicles. Thus, defeating Obama’s goal in the first place.
But when has a liberal policy ever made sense?
Most of what Obama did was to make him look good on TV. Whenever you actually examined his policies, they fell apart.
On the flip side, Trump’s policies are blasted on the news. But in the real world, they work wonderfully.
By ending Obama’s terrible policy, it gives car companies the freedom to offer lower cost cars and fuel goals that are more realistic. While not hurting the environment.
Works for me. And I’m guessing it’ll work for most Americans.
