Thanks to President Trump, Americans are enjoying more opportunity—all because of some unbelievably smart moves he has made.
President Trump slashed government regulation, which once crippled businesses.
He scored a massive tax cut bill, which is aiding companies and employees, and his leadership is boosting consumer confidence and bringing jobs back to America.
The end result, of course, is that more Americans are back to work. Americans that are successfully employed have the resources to support their families; they no longer need to look to the government for help.
And in the end, fewer Americans have to depend on bloated handout programs, just to make ends meet.
“Overall enrollment in the nation’s food stamp program has dipped to its lowest level in eight years, according to the latest statistics released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The latest USDA data reveals that enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)—the federal government program that administers food stamps—dropped to 40,083,954 in March 2018.
The last time enrollment in the food stamp program reached that level was February 2010, when 39,588,993 people participated in the nation’s food stamp program.”
President Trump also signed an executive order that required the USDA to update its rules.
Running the numbers from the SNAP totals, this likely amounts to a direct savings of over $17 billion to the American people.
During his tenure, he has enacted many changes that bring more accountability to programs like SNAP; for far too long, government benefits programs have been exploited by crooks.
SNAP was one of the worst, really. Local shop owners often ran a scheme that scammed the government out of money; they’d buy food stamps and turn them in—with no food being purchased. Some stores were able to steal upwards of tens of millions of dollars.
Numerous states have pushed back against government waste as well.
They have implemented work requirements for people who want food stamps: either they work, volunteer, or get job training for 20 a week, or they don’t get benefits.
The results speak for themselves. People who go out to find work, get work and no longer need assistance, and those who refuse to even get job training, get the boot! It’s a win-win, and a trend that will continue across the country.
Yet still, Democrats oppose such basic, common sense changes. It’s like they want Americans poor and unable to support their families.
Perhaps that has been their goal all along…
