Fox Stuns the Nation with Move on Trump – They Just Begged Donald To Do 1 Thing

What’s Happening:

At the moment, Donald Trump is the GOP frontrunner for the 2024 Election. Nobody even comes close. And this is after Democrats indicted him three times! You can assume Trump is in a safe position. So much so, that he has mulled skipping the Republican primary debates. If he has such a strong lead, why bother debating candidates so far behind him?

Well, that is a big loss for whoever is hosting these debates. Oh, wait… that’s Fox News right? Fox knows that nobody will bother watching candidates polling at 1% debate each other. They need the Donald if they want to bring in viewers. And so, word has slipped that they practically begged Trump to join in.

From The Post Millennial:

New reports have revealed that former President Trump was pressed to appear at the first Republican primary debate at a dinner by top Fox News executives on Tuesday.

The dinner was reportedly held at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf club, and was attended by the network’s President, Jay Wallace as well as Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott.

Well, what do ya know? For all the establishment media’s attacks against Trump, when push comes to shove, they want him on their network. Fox has hardly been a friend to Trump, especially since 2020.

He seems to only get along with show host Sean Hannity. But when the time came to put together the first Republican primary debate, Fox News wanted Trump. They even went to dinner with him at his golf club, begging for his attendance.

The very president and CEO of the not-so-conservative news network met with Trump. According to reports, the meeting was “cordial.” Yeah, no kidding. Fox News can’t force Trump to attend. They probably laid the charm on real thick, hoping to win over the former president.

Trump has good reason to skip out on these debates. Going would give all his GOP rivals the chance to slam him, rather than discuss the issues. Trump doesn’t need to attend the debate to get his message before the country. But the other candidates need Trump, who would bring millions of viewers to the event.

It doesn’t appear that Trump made a firm commitment during this dinner. We don’t know, as of this writing, if he’ll attend the debate. Fox News might have to do something more to incentive the former president.

Key Takeaways:

  • Fox News’s top executives attended a dinner to press Trump into attending their GOP debate.
  • Fox’s president and CEO had dinner with Trump to encourage him to go.
  • Trump has previously stated he doesn’t need to attend the debates since he is polling so well.
