GOP Absolutely Crush Democrats in Annual Showdown – D.C. Swamp Liberals Humiliated in Blowout

What’s Happening:

It’s not every day Republicans get to celebrate a massive win against the left. Even in 2022, when people expected a “red wave” to sweep across Washington, Republicans only managed a slim victory.

Republicans have to bite and claw to get victories for Americans, as Democrats in Congress and the White House push a radical agenda. But this week, Republicans scored a major blowout against their Democrat colleagues. And liberals are really smarting over this one.

From NOLA:

The pitching was spotty, the base-running awkward and the pulled muscles plentiful Wednesday night as the Republicans took their third win in a row in Congress’s annual charity baseball game.

The GOP won 16-6 in the seven-inning game between Democratic and Republican members of Congress that raised about $1.8 million for 44 charities in the D.C. area. The charity game takes place in the Major League Baseball stadium where the Washington Nationals play.

Every year, Congress hosts a charity baseball game among members. Teams are made up of both parties, Republicans versus Democrats. The game is played to raise money for local D.C. charities. And for the third year in a row, Republicans beat Democrats.

But what a win! They crushed the Democrats in a 16-6 blowout. The game only lasted seven innings. But they managed to raise $1.8 million. The game brought in 26,663 ticket sales.

This game is particularly important to House Majority Leader Steve Scalise. It was practice for this very game in 2017 when a gunman nearly took his life. The injuries he sustained prevented him from running, even to this day.

But he played anyway, with a designated runner to move along the bases for him.

It was only a baseball game, but perhaps it is a sign of things to come?

Key Takeaways:

  • Congressional Republicans defeated Democrats in the yearly charity baseball game.
  • They defeated the Democrats 16-6, in seven innings played
  • The game raised $1.8 million for various D.C. charities.
