Louisiana Governor Welcomes National Guard to Clean Up New Orleans

Our great American cities are turning into a mess. There was a time you could feel safe, but now? We all see what’s happening. Decades of bad ideas from liberal leaders have left our streets in chaos.

It’s not rocket science. When you stop punishing criminals, you get more crime. When you attack the police, you get disorder. Local politicians just talk and talk, but nothing ever gets better. Sound familiar? They seem to have forgotten who they work for.

But now, someone is finally stepping up to do something. President Donald Trump sees the disaster unfolding in New Orleans. So, he made a simple, common-sense offer to help fix it. He’s thinking about sending in the National Guard to clean things up.

From ‘The Post Millennial’:

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has welcomed the idea of President Donald Trump sending the National Guard into New Orleans to help crack down on crime, something that Trump floated on Wednesday. This comes after Trump has also suggested that the administration could use the National Guard troops to tamp down crime in other cities, such as New York City and Chicago, after crime in Washington, DC has dropped off in the wake of the administration’s crackdown on crime there.

In a statement on Wednesday, Landry stated, “We will take President Donald Trump’s help from New Orleans to Shreveport!” as he shared a clip of Trump making the suggestion.

A Governor Ready for Action

Now, you’d think this would be a no-brainer, right? The President offers help, you take it. But in today’s America, you never know. Thankfully, Louisiana has a Republican Governor, Jeff Landry, who gets it.

He didn’t need a committee meeting. He didn’t check the polls. He just saw a chance to make his state safer and said yes. His response was perfect: “We will take President Donald Trump’s help from New Orleans to Shreveport!” Now that’s a leader who cares more about his people than about politics.

City Hall Hedges and Hides

Of course, the Democrat-run city of New Orleans had a very different reaction. Did they say yes? Did they say no? They did neither. Instead, they put out a statement full of political fluff.

It was the kind of statement only a politician could write, saying a whole lot of nothing. They thanked everyone for past money and talked about their “commitment” to policing. It was a complete dodge. They couldn’t bring themselves to accept help from President Trump, even if it meant a safer city.

The Media’s Misleading Narrative

And right on cue, the media showed up to tell you not to believe your own eyes. A local news station said that New Orleans actually has some of its “lowest crime rates since the ’70s.”

Seriously, do they think we’re stupid? Go ask the people who actually live there if they feel safe. The media can play games with numbers all day long. But we know the truth. Our cities are in trouble, and no fancy chart is going to change that.

So at the end of the day, it’s pretty simple. We have leaders like President Trump and Governor Landry who want to take action. And we have city politicians and a media who want to pretend everything is fine. You know who to trust.

Key Takeaways

  • President Trump is taking direct action to restore law and order.
  • Republican governors are ready to partner with the President for safety.
  • Democrat-run cities prioritize politics over the safety of their people.
  • Mainstream media often uses misleading statistics to hide the truth about crime.
