This week, the governing body of the Catholic Church released a document outline its stance on numerous modern issues. The Dignitas Infinita affirmed the church’s view on issues like gender ideology, abortion, and other things embraced by the progressive left.
In a blow to Catholic Democrats’ plans, the church condemned transgenderism and the concept of gender fluidity.
This creates a big problem for President Joe Biden. He frequently touts his “devout” Catholic faith. But this document further drives a wedge between his claims of faith and the church’s anti-progressive views. And now, the White House has been forced to give a response.

“What about the more specific comments about gender theory and transgender individuals?” a reporter pressed.“I’m going to be really careful. The president’s role to litigate internal Church policy, that’s not his role, so I’m gonna be super careful there,” Jean-Pierre said. “But I can speak to the president’s stance, and he’s always been very clear on the importance of protecting or having protections for the transgender community and the broader LGBTQ+ community, and that’s been very clear since day one of his administration.”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had a difficult time answering questions about the Vatican’s recent declaration against gender ideology. She said that the president’s role was to not “litigate internal Church policy.”
That, of course, was not the question. Nobody believes the President of the United States has any power to dictate the views of the Catholic Church or any religious institution.
However, the press secretary refused to comment on the obvious conflict between Biden’s progressive agenda and his claims to Catholic faith. The church has openly rejected transgenderism, reaffirming the Biblical doctrine on gender.
But Biden has been a mouthpiece for the transgender movement from day one of his administration. Whether he personally supports the LGBT is unknown, but it is clear his administration is trying to advance the rights of transgenders, even—it seems—at the expense of most Americans.
Biden’s White House did not condemn the actions of the Covenant School shooting, who identified as transgender. Nor has Biden been brave enough to confront the threats of violence coming from the transgender community online.
It is unlikely that Biden can continue to claim to be a “good” Catholic for much longer. The church seems to be openly challenging him to either agree with the decisions of its leaders or face repercussions.
