Just Hours After Trump’s SCOTUS Win – He Scores Another Landmark Victory Out West

Colorado’s liberal-leaning courts shocked the nation when they ruled to strike Trump from the state’s ballots. This was the first state to agree with Democrats that Trump was ineligible because he staged an “insurrection.” But it was not the last.

This week, just before Super Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Colorado’s decision.

It ruled that states cannot remove a federal candidate from their ballots. This meant, Trump would be on the primary ballot, as voters went to the polls on Super Tuesday. And the results proved what Democrats were trying to do all along.

From The Post Millennial:
President Donald Trump took home another win in the state of Colorado in the GOP primary against his only opponent left in the primary race, former UN ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

The vote was called by the Associated Press with about 43 percent of the vote in on Tuesday night a little after 9 p.m. EST

The Associated Press called Trump’s victory in Colorado relatively quickly after only 43 percent of the votes were counted. Trump appeared to easily win the state, dominating his last remaining opponent (at the time), Nikki Haley.

With 82% of the votes counted, he beat her 63-33. Had the Democrats gotten away with removing him from the ballots, it was all but certain that Haley would have won the state.

This means, that Democrats likely knew Trump was the odds-on favorite to win the state. And, perhaps, their efforts to remove him from the ballot were less about “insurrection” and more about stopping voters from choosing him.

Many Republicans have accused Democrats of election interference over their attempts to keep Trump from the ballot. They claim liberals are trying to deny Americans their fundamental right to vote for the candidate of their choice.

It is possible Democrats fear an easy victory for Trump over flagging Joe Biden. And attempts at erasing him from ballots were a pathetic ruse to protect their candidate.

Key Takeaways:

  • Donald Trump won the GOP Colorado primaries 63-33.
  • This comes just a day after the Supreme Court put him back on the ballot.
  • Colorado’s liberal state Supreme Court had previously ruled against Trump.
