Republican congressional leaders haven’t given up on their pursuit of criminal evidence against Hunter Biden. The president’s son and his actions related to his father are still the focus of a GOP-led House committee wanting answers.
The House Oversight Committee bared its teeth again after it used the powers of Congress to go after more information from Biden. The committee has been actively working to uncover any wrongdoings by Biden and his father related to their personal business dealings.
The committee filed a subpoena this week seeking communications records from Hunter Biden. The subpoena targeted nearly 15 years of phone records for Biden.

“The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability (Oversight Committee) is investigating whether sufficient grounds exist to draft articles of impeachment against President Biden for consideration by the full House,” read an official statement. “The Oversight Committee is subpoenaing certain records in the possession, custody, or control of AT&T that are relevant to the impeachment inquiry. The Committee is seeking records related to AT&T customer, Mr. Robert Hunter Biden.”
The investigation has included the Oversight Committee reviewing bank records of “individuals and entities associated with the Biden family” as well as other evidence. The review, the committee statement said, uncovered a “pattern of financial complexity.”
That complexity, according to the statement, revealed that the Biden family used corporate bank accounts of third-party associates to receive wires from foreign companies and foreign nationals. Money was then dispersed from Biden business associates to various Biden family members in “incremental payments over time,” the statement said.
The House committee is demanding that AT&T hand over the records by March 20. The impeachment investigation into President Biden is being coordinated through the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability (Oversight Committee), the House Committee on the Judiciary (Judiciary Committee), and the House Committee on Ways and Means.
The lack of results to this point has some wondering if the GOP-led effort against Joe Biden and family is a lot of bark with little bite. Unless the committees can put together all the evidence collected and get some sort of punishment for the Bidens, this may be another case of posturing without results.
