House Oversight Subpoenas 9 Former Biden Officials in Mental Decline Investigation

Remember when we were told the president was in charge? Well, it turns out that might not have been the case during the Biden years. Like a mystery movie where the supposed leader is actually just a figurehead, shocking revelations are coming to light about who was really pulling the strings.

Americans deserve to know who’s making decisions that affect their lives. But when staffers start acting like they’re the ones in charge, our whole system of government gets turned upside down. Now, investigators are digging deeper, and what they’re finding has jaws dropping across Washington.

House Republicans are dramatically expanding their investigation into an alleged cover-up of former President Biden’s mental decline. The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), has scheduled nine former senior White House officials to testify in the coming weeks about who was really making decisions in the Biden administration.

From ‘Fox News’:

The House Oversight Committee is expanding its investigation into an alleged cover-up of former President Joe Biden’s mental decline and possible unauthorized executive actions, and nine former senior White House officials will testify in the coming weeks…

“The cover-up of President Biden’s mental decline is one of the greatest scandals in our nation’s history,” Comer said earlier this month in announcing the expansion of his investigation. “These five former senior advisers were eyewitnesses to President Biden’s condition and operations within the Biden White House.”

The investigation is targeting Biden’s inner circle, including Ronald Klain, former chief of staff; Steve Ricchetti, former counselor to the president; Mike Donilon, former senior advisor; Bruce Reed, former deputy chief of staff for policy; and Anita Dunn, former senior advisor for communications. These officials have agreed to appear for transcribed interviews between July 24 and August 7.

The “Work Husband” and the “Loyalty Police”

Perhaps most intriguing is the subpoena issued to Anthony Bernal, who served as a top aide to former First Lady Jill Biden. Bernal, who was reportedly so close to the former first lady that he was referred to as her “work husband,” initially refused to testify voluntarily after the Trump administration suspended legal protections for Biden officials.

According to the book “Original Sin” by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson, Bernal wielded significant power in the White House, even questioning staffers about their loyalty.

“He considered loyalty to be the defining virtue and would wield that word to elevate some and oust others,” the authors wrote. “‘Are you a Biden person?’ he would ask West Wing aides.” This behavior led some colleagues to nickname him the leader of the “loyalty police.”

Five People Running the Country?

The investigation raises serious questions about who was actually making decisions during Biden’s presidency. Chairman Comer has specifically questioned who had authority to use the presidential autopen to sign White House documents while Biden was in office.

Most alarming is a quote from “Original Sin” that claims “five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board.” This bombshell suggests that unelected staffers may have been making critical decisions that should have been made by the president himself.

Constitutional Crisis of Authority

If unelected staffers were indeed making presidential-level decisions, it represents a serious breach of our constitutional system. In America, voters elect a president to make decisions – not their spouses’ aides or White House staffers.

“If White House staff carried out a strategy lasting months or even years to hide the chief executive’s condition — or to perform his duties — Congress may need to consider a legislative response,” Comer has warned.

This investigation comes after Biden’s disastrous debate performance last year that ultimately led to him dropping his reelection bid. The question now is whether that public stumble was just the tip of the iceberg of a much longer decline that was deliberately hidden from public view.
