For over a year, Republican investigators have been hounding the Biden family. They alleged that Joe and his son Hunter were engaged in a foreign bribery scheme. House Republicans have produced numerous pieces of evidence that they say confirm these allegations.
The Biden family has been trying to resist the House investigation. Hunter Biden, at one point, agreed to speak to lawmakers. But at the last second, he refused, opting to hold a “speech” outside Congress.
He later appeared for a closed-door testimony. But now, Hunter is refusing to cooperate with further House hearings—which will be public. And one of the top investigators has made this ominous vow to the Bidens.

The corruption-focused impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden will lead to criminal referrals, the lead investigator in the probe said on Sunday…“If [Hunter] does not show up, then it’s not going to end well for the Bidens, because we have three witnesses that … have already testified under oath to significantly different stories as to what exactly the Biden influence peddling schemes were,” he told “Sunday Morning Futures” anchor Maria Bartiromo.
James Comer revealed that House investigators will be issuing criminal referrals as a result of their probe into the Biden family. Comer warned Hunter Biden that he should attend the upcoming public hearing.
It is unlikely he will show. Comer said that “it’s not going to end well” for Joe and his family. He went on to say that there will be “multiple” referrals but declined to say who would be named in them.
Criminal referrals go to the Department of Justice. It will be up to the agency to decide if they will investigate or press charges. The word of Congress carries weight with the DOJ.
But this current DOJ is under the control of Joe Biden. Is there any scenario where the attorney general will charge his boss with a crime? Not if when Democrats are in power, and during an election year.
The FBI went out of its way to not investigate Joe and Hunter Biden in 2020—even though it had evidence of wrongdoing. That was when a Republican president was in office. Would Merrick Garland, a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat, actually go against Biden?
He did appoint a special counsel to investigate Biden’s illegal keeping of classified records. But that, of course, ended with no charges being filed.
