Ilhan Omar Turns on Kamala – Exposes Her ‘Huge Misstep’ by Involving Liz Cheney

Three weeks after Election Day, Democrats are still in shock that Kamala Harris actually lost to Donald Trump. At the start of the month, Democrats thought that there was no way that Harris could come up short.

Much to their shock and dismay, Harris was ultimately trounced not only in the Electoral College but also in the popular vote. In the weeks since then, Democrat lawmakers have been pointing fingers at one another, trying to figure out who exactly is to blame for this humiliating defeat.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a member of the radically liberal “Squad,” now appears to be turning on Harris. Indeed, Omar thinks that Harris made one “huge misstep” that likely cost her this election.

From The Star Tribune:
The Harris-Walz campaign could have listened more to the Democratic base and may have tried too hard toreach Republican-leaning voters by tapping surrogates like former Rep. Liz Cheney, a Republican who has vocally opposed Trump, in states like Wisconsin and Michigan.

Omar called that “a huge misstep,” especially in Michigan, the home of the Uncommitted Movement, a group that emerged during the presidential primary to pressure Democrats to end the war. The campaign’s association with Cheney, whose father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, heavily influential in the 2003 invasion of Iraq under President George W. Bush, sent the wrong message, she said.

“You have the one name for my generation and generations younger than me that is synonymous with war,” Omar said of Cheney. “It does say something about where your priorities are even if those are not your priorities.”

Omar went on to talk about Harris losing the Michigan city of Dearborn. This Detroit suburb is home to one of the largest Arab communities in the entire nation. Omar pointed out that Trump took the time to meet with the Democrat mayor of Dearborn. In contrast, Harris only made an offer to send consultants or staffers rather than meeting with the mayor herself.

“I think that personal touch for that community made the difference,” Omar said. “We could have had that personal touch.”

Harris Won’t Like This

Omar’s comments will undoubtedly come as a slap in the face to Harris. Throughout the 2024 presidential race, Harris enjoyed the full support of Omar and most of the other radical liberals in Congress. Now that Harris is officially a presidential loser, however, the claws are coming out, and Omar is letting her true feelings be known.

The reality is that Harris made many more missteps than just hitching her wagon to Cheney. These missteps started long before the Democrat establishment anointed Harris as Joe Biden’s replacement in the presidential race without allowing their own voters to have a say in a primary.

Instead, the missteps that Harris made go back to just what a horrible job the Biden-Harris regime has done overseeing America for four years. Under their questionable leadership, the economy has gone to shambles, and inflation has gone through the roof. Millions of illegal aliens have flooded our borders. Meanwhile, millions of real Americans are struggling just to put food on the table.

Whether it was aligning herself with Cheney, not visiting Dearborn, or the many “missteps” that Harris made as vice president, it’s clear that Harris simply turned off far too many voters to have a shot at winning. Given how poorly she did in this election, Harris shouldn’t be surprised if more Democrats quickly turn on her like Omar did!

Key Takeaways:

  • Ilhan Omar is turning on Kamala Harris.
  • Omar thinks aligning with Liz Cheney was a “huge misstep” for Harris.
  • Omar also called out Harris for not visiting Dearborn.
