Jim Jordan Drops Hammer on Fani Willis – This Could Cripple Her Case Against Trump

The election interference case against former President Donald Trump has been hyped by Democrats as the potential death knell for him. They badly want him out of the 2024 presidential race and believe they have the prosecutor to knock him out.

Now the darling DA of Fulton County, Georgia, is facing big problems of her own. She has been exposed as allegedly having a romantic relationship with the prosecutor trying to condemn Trump in the case. District Attorney Fani Willis paid Nathan Wade hundreds of thousands of dollars to accuse Trump in court.

A whistleblower exposed Willis as potentially misusing federal grant money in relation to her office spending. That news prompted heavy heat to rain down on Willis from Capitol Hill. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) subpoenaed Willis on Friday, demanding records of how she used federal grant money.

From the Washington Examiner:
“These allegations raise serious concerns about whether you were appropriately supervising the expenditure of federal grant funding allocated to your office and whether you took actions to conceal your office’s unlawful use of federal funds,” Jordan stated.

The subpoena seeks all communication related to allegations about Willis inappropriately using that money and demands she respond with the requested documents by Feb. 23.

Jordan’s demands follow recent whistleblower claims that Willis fired an employee after the employee expressed concerns in 2021 about a Willis aide planning to use part of a $488,000 federal grant for frivolous expenses.

Willis has been under fire recently by a co-defendant in the election interference case. She is accused of paying large fees to Wade who is a private sector attorney acting as a prosecutor against Trump.

Willis recently acknowledged a personal relationship to Wade but claimed it has no bearing on the attempted prosecution of Trump. Wade has also acknowledged the relationship. Both stated that the relationship has no bearing on the case.

Trump and a co-defendant are seeking to have the prosecution disqualified based on a conflict of interest related to Willis’ romantic relationship to Wade.

Willis’ response to the disqualification argument shows that she is asking the court to “turn a blind eye to her alleged personal and financial misconduct,” according to Trump attorney Steve Sadow.

Trump slammed Willis and Wade in a post on Truth Social, calling the case targeting him and others is a “scam” which is “totally discredited & over!”

Key Takeaways:

  • Jim Jordan’s subpoena could crush the Georgia election interference case against Trump.
  • DA Fani Willis acknowledged that she had a personal relationship with Nathan Wade.
  • Trump’s team demanded the prosecuting duo be disqualified from the “scam” case.
