Whenever Democrats attack former President Donald Trump there is chaos. The 2020 election case against him in Georgia took a wild turn after allegations that the prosecutor wasn’t on the level.
Anyone mentioning lavish vacations and a love connection might think liberals are attacking Trump again. The reality is Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been accused of paying her alleged romantic link hundreds of thousands of dollars to help prosecute Trump and even going on lavish vacations with her man.
Willis is being romantically linked to private lawyer Nathan Wade who reportedly has limited prosecuting experience. The wayward prosecutor now faces a judge who wants to know all the sordid details about the relationship.
From The Daily Wire:
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee said on Thursday that Willis must respond in writing to the allegations by February 2 and schedule a hearing on the accusations on February 15, according to the Washington Post.
Former Trump campaign aide Mike Roman made the allegations against Willis in a court filing. The argument is that the charges against Trump should be dismissed, and Wade should be removed from the case.
There are claims that Wade was paid more than $650,000 since January of 2022 by the Fulton County D’’s office. There are also accusations that Willis mislead county officials to get more money to pay Wade. The alleged deception where she never received county approval to hire him could be a state violation of Georgia law.
And almost on cue after the allegations surfaced Willis played the race card. She suggested that the accusations are racially motivated.
“Isn’t it them playing the race card when they constantly think I need someone from some other jurisdiction in some other state to tell me how to do a job I’ve been doing almost 30 years,” she added.
The reality is that Willis must play the cards she dealt based on her management and hiring practices. Her personal life, when it relates to an active case, is relevant and worthy of public scrutiny. The sordid scenario is also getting attention from a higher level of lawmakers.
House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) is also investigating Wade. His ties to Willis and the White House are a focus for Jordan. Wade reportedly got chummy with Washington, D.C., Democrats and the White House. He reportedly had meetings with the Democrat-run January 6 Committee and at the White House before the Georgia election case against Trump was launched.
