Supreme Court Justice Makes Christmas Gesture – Clarence Thomas Spotted Paying Tribute in Arlington Cemetery

Christmas is just days away, and millions of citizens are planning to put politics in the background. 2022 has been a difficult year for many, and it’s time to simply focus on the good things in life.

It’s also a time to reflect, and pay our respects to those who made our current lives possible. This includes our countless fallen heroes, whose ultimate sacrifice should never be forgotten.

Thankfully, one legendary Supreme Court Justice understands this.

Clarence Thomas has been a voice of wisdom and reason for decades, and he has often stood up for solid American values on Capitol Hill.

And this week, he decided to participate in the annual Wreaths Across America event in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. He was a surprise attendee, but people were thrilled to see him.

Journalist Emily Miller posted a video of the wreath-laying ceremony, in which Thomas pops up and takes some pictures.

The video and the corresponding pic quickly went viral, and are making the rounds on social media. They’ve already elicited thousands upon thousands of positive reactions and comments:

Said Miller:

Justice Clarence Thomas does #WreathsAcrossAmerica [to] honor the fallen and spend time supporting Gold Star families at Arlington.

Show respect for those of them reading this thread in your replies.

Wreaths Across America conducts wreath-laying ceremonies all across the U.S. — in 3,400 different locations, in fact. They even conduct ceremonies for U.S. heroes overseas.

Volunteers drive the worthwhile endeavor forward, and everyone’s mission is to “Remember, Honor and Teach.”

The tradition began 30 years ago; it was started by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester, who had a bunch of extra wreaths that Christmas season. He decided to place them in Arlington, and that kicked things off.

In response to Justice Thomas getting involved, the Claremont Institute’s Jarrett Stepman said:

This is wonderful, Emily. I can’t think of a person who embodies the spirit of this country more than Justice Thomas.

Great man, and greatest living American.

U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler added that “Justice Thomas continues to inspire,” and “May God bless him and our fallen heroes.”

Thomas has stood for the “side of good” dozens of times in his long career, according to most right-wing citizens. And his respect for American history has always been  clear.

This year, it’s important to remember that not everything on the planet comes down to politics — and that people should care a lot more about our past and traditions.

Key Takeaways:

  • Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas joined the Wreaths Across America ceremony in Arlington Cemetery.
  • His respect for America’s fallen heroes was hailed by thousands across social media.
  • The pic and video of Thomas helping volunteers lay the wreaths quickly went viral, and GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler said “Justice Thomas continues to inspire.”
