We are in no way surprised. These far-left prosecutors have popped up across the country; they’re advocates for defunding the police, decriminalizing a long list of crimes, and ending cash bail. The results have been obvious.
Crime is skyrocketing in many cities across America. In St. Louis, Gardner refused to show up in court or even manage her caseload. She has been accused of “complete indifference” to her job and a “conscious disregard for the judicial process.”
Critics say she was neglecting her job, to the benefit of criminals:

What this amounted to was more crime and a lack of concern for law-abiding citizens, who are becoming victims. Pressure from this case has forced Gardner to resign, though she hasn’t admitted to anything.
Instead, she claims race and gender as the reason she was being ousted.
However, one might say that Americans have no problem with women of color as prosecutors if they actually do their job. We are a meritocracy. Americans love people of all races if they actually keep their word. But when an elected official deliberately refuses to protect a city from criminals?
All the posturing in the world is meaningless.
