It’s safe to say that the mainstream media hates Donald Trump. They tried everything they could to destroy his campaign. Even now, they push stories that seek to undermine his administration.

Real things are happening across the country. But what did the media focus on for weeks? The questionable story of a porn star.

Media outlets focused on that hoping it would hurt President Trump. Pathetic. That is only the tip of the iceberg for the kind of disgusting content they pump out daily. It is a disgrace to journalism.

Now a big event is approaching. An event where politicians eagerly try to pander to the media elite. This event usually welcomes scumbags who crap all over the President.

Guess what? When you insult someone by not showing up, that hurts.

But a second time? You’re not even acknowledging their existence.

Ouch.

President Donald Trump has turned down an invitation to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner for the second consecutive year…

“I sort of feel that the press is so bad, it’s so fake, it’s so made up,” Trump said, accusing the media of making up sources for their stories. “I call them novelists, they make up the sources, in some cases there are sources, but then they won’t do it correctly either but in many cases, they literally make up sources.”

…The news was confirmed by  White House Correspondents Association President Margaret Talev in a statement to members.

“The White House has informed us that the president does not plan to participate in this year’s dinner but that he will actively encourage members of the executive branch to attend and join us as we celebrate the First Amendment,” Talev said. She confirmed that White House press secretary Sarah Sanders would represent the Trump administration at the dinner.

Yeah, they care about the First Amendment. So much so they attack citizens’ free speech and pressure social networks to censor their competitors. I guess these established outlets only care about their own First Amendment rights.

It was already announced that comedian Michelle Wolf will host the event. She is a regular contributor to Comedy Central’s failing Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Sure, Trump is really interested in listening to someone like that for hours.

How could the media expect Trump to attend their little gala? They claim it’s to celebrate the First Amendment. Really? For years they have slandered Donald Trump. They attacked his reputation, called him every insult under the Sun. They went after his family, including his wife and young son. There was nothing they wouldn’t say to discredit the man (even regularly fantasize about his death).

And now they expect him to show up at their event?

This event has nothing to do with our First Amendment. These con artists have made a mockery of free press with their toxic lies and fake news. It will take generations for the good name of American journalism to be repaired (if it can). And these clowns want to “celebrate” (i.e.: stroke their egos).

It’s not a surprise that Trump is snubbing the dinner. It is a joke and a disgrace to our country.

Perhaps these media outlets will learn eventually and change their ways. Perhaps not.
