Latest Report Shows Massive 2024 Swing – This 1 Shift Could Seal Biden’s Fate

Many Democrats were probably expecting Trump’s chances to tank after the New York guilty verdict.

Many believed the criminal trial (along with the other trials against Trump) was meant to hurt Trump’s 2024 campaign. Instead, it seems that the plan backfired.

Trump’s campaign raised a reported $200 million after the guilty verdict. It appears people who previously didn’t support Trump are now jumping on his bandwagon.

A new post-conviction poll is coming out. It reveals how independent voters view the former president. And, in the aftermath of the New York conviction, it seems voters are starting to clarify their stances on Trump and Biden. Democrats are not going to like this.

From The Post Millennial:
Donald Trump is leading incumbent President Joe Biden among independent voters in a new poll released after his guilty verdict on Thursday…

Among independent voters, Trump leads Biden with 38 to 26 going into June. The national poll was conducted between May 29 and 31 of 1,675 registered voters with a margin of error of 2.5 percent, and the verdict, issued on May 30, did not seem to weaken his support…

In May, that independent voter lead was only 33 percent for Trump and 25 percent for Biden, indicating a jump of five points from independents supporting Trump in that time period.

According to an Issues and Insights/TIPP poll, support for Trump among independents is growing. Previously, he was leading among independent voters over Biden 33 to 25. But after the New York conviction, that support has jumped to 38 to 26.

Trump appears to be gaining more support since the guilty verdict than losing. This is most likely because Americans have long considered these criminal trials as political persecution. Democrats are engaging in “lawfare,” according to many critics, and are using the court system to derail Trump’s campaign.

A guilty verdict only appears to confirm that view for many Americans. Support came pouring into Trump’s campaign after a jury from a blue district convicted him.

Independent voters will be critical to this election. They often help decide swing states and other close races. Trump needs as many independent voters as possible, along with strong support among Republicans. Other polls show Trump with an even larger independent base backing him.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump is leading with independent voters, 38 to 26, according to a new poll.
  • That lead has only grown since his conviction by a New York jury.
  • Many believe the criminal trial was political persecution.
