Had a conservative paper published it, they would have been shut down immediately. The mainstream media would have demanded the creators be fired and shunned from society. But this is coming from the New York Times, so they probably thought they were fine.
The former “paper of record” has become the largest mouthpiece for the radical left in recent years. They have damaged their reputation numerous times, by slandering conservatives and propping up the left. But this time, they might not be able to worm their way out of this horrible decision.
The New York Times came under fire Sunday for publishing a crossword puzzle resembling a Nazi swastika, with readers pointing out its appearance coincided with the first day of the festival of Hanukkah, which commemorates the liberation of the Jewish people…
“Only the New York Times would get Chanukah going with this is the crossword puzzle,” Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter.
Pro-Israel group S.A.F.E. CUNY wrote, “Today’s Crossword Puzzle from the New York Times for Chanukah. Pretty much sums up the @nytimes for the past few years in regard to Jews and Israel.”
NYC Council member Kalman Yeger wrote, “A hidden Happy Chanukah message in today’s @nytimes crossword?”
Disgusting! Only the New York Times would get Chanukah going with this is the crossword puzzle. Imagine what they would do to someone who did this and was not ideologically aligned with them? I’ll give them the same benefit of the doubt they would give those people… EXACTLY ZERO pic.twitter.com/eZHr0SQbT4

You don’t have to look very hard to see what people are upset about. The creators of this puzzle could have chosen any words and made it look like anything. Yet, for some bizarre reason, the puzzle–which came out on the first night of a sacred Jewish holiday–looks like the symbol of the Nazi party.
How did this get through their editorial staff? Are you telling me nobody at the New York Times seemed to notice? Or did this arrogant leftist paper decide nobody would notice? Or that they could get away with it?
It’s hard to believe they did this intentionally. But, how do we know? For years, leftists have blasted Republicans and conservatives for being “Nazis” and “bigots.” Yet, you don’t see conservatives putting swastikas in their crossword puzzles!
No doubt, the New York Times will deny this. If they were smart, they’d immediately apologize, pull the puzzle, and do something to disavow anti-Semitism. But we’re not sure the Times is smart enough to do all that. Or humble enough to admit they were wrong.
- The New York Times published a crossword in the shape of a swastika.
- Users were outraged, as it was the first night of Hannukah.
- The NYT has long been a leftist publication, slandering Republicans and conservatives.
