Some troubling evidence just tumbled out that should have Democrats worried.
Republicans in Congress have been chasing down information regarding the FBI’s Russian probe.
That he led them to explore just where the infamous Steele Dossier came from. And they’ve uncovered some eye-opening information.
One of the main sources for the dossier was a figure working for a D.C., left-wing think tank.
And Rep. Devin Nunes is opening a deeper investigation into the misinformation the “deep state” used to try to take down a president:
House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., told “Sunday Morning Futures” in an exclusive interview that “we’ve now expanded our investigation, full-blown investigation, into the Brookings Institute.”…
Nunes first said that he believes there were “direct links between the Brookings Institute leadership and the creation, possibly, of the Steele dossier and the dissemination of the Steele dossier.”
According to reports, one of the sources for the Steele Dossier was Igor Danchenko, a former Brookings Institute senior research analyst.
Danchenko worked in Washington, D.C. Yet FBI reports suggest he was one of three foreign, Russian-based sources.
That casts more troubling light on what the FBI and DOJ did during the 2016 Election.
Nunes announced their investigation (a “full-blow investigation”) is now looking into the Brookings Institute.
The congressman called the group a “prominent left-wing think tank” based in Washington.
The FBI even interviewed Danchenko back in 2017 but kept his identity a secret. According to reports, Danchenko “uncovered” information about Trump that ended up in the dossier.
Somehow, this left-wing operative, who appears to have zero ties to the Russian government, was the one who provided information that created the narrative that Trump’s campaign was connected to Russia.
Seems odd that someone outside of Russia was feeding this information to Steele. And how Steele put it in the dossier.
There doesn’t appear to be any mention of whether or not this information was verified.
Yet the FBI used that same dossier to acquire a wiretap on Trump staffer Carter Page.
Many Americans believe Obama’s administration used the dossier as an excuse to “spy” on the Trump campaign. Perhaps they were hoping to find some real information they could have used to sway the election.
Only afterward to use the same bogus dossier to launch an investigation into Trump, undermining his administration before he entered office.
That morphed into the Mueller Russian probe, which Democrats still point to as “proof” that Trump colluded with Russia.
But all the evidence points to something much different. Maybe Nunes can finally get to the truth—and if it leads back to the top.
- New reports have emerged that reveal a member of a left-wing group was behind the Steele dossier.
- Nunes announced their investigation is looking into the Brookings Institute.
- The dossier was used as the basis for the Obama admin wiretapping a Trump campaign staffer.
