Nineteen States Smash A Wrecking Ball Into Barack’s Crumbling Legacy

We all know Trump’s biggest achievements have come in the form of destroying Obama’s legacy.

In fact, some liberal pundits have already declared that Trump has undone everything Obama did.

Not too shabby, for a year and a half.

Despite what the left claims, that’s exactly why Trump was elected: Americans were betrayed by Obama.

He promised “hope and change” and yet after eight years, all we had was a weak economy, massive tax burdens, and a growing deficit. Not to mention greater racial division, violence, and hate.

Thanks to Trump, many things are improving– the economy is roaring to life. Our enemies are being beaten back. And there is real change happening around the world.

Now Trump’s DOJ is going after the last shred of Obama’s legacy; with a brilliant legal move, they may destroy the failed Obamacare system once and for all.

From Western Journal:

The Trump administration is continuing its attack on Obamacare with a new declaration that the mandate requiring everyone to buy insurance is unconstitutional.

What’s unusual about the move is that the Justice Department has signaled it will break with precedent and not support a federal law that is being attacked, according to The Hill.

The case in which it filed its legal brief was brought by Texas and 19 other states. The states claim that Obamacare is unconstitutional.

‘The US Supreme Court already admitted that an individual mandate without a tax penalty is unconstitutional.

With no remaining legitimate basis for the law, it is time that Americans are finally free from the stranglehold of Obamacare, once and for all,’ Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton had said when the suit was filed…

That legislation eliminated the penalty for not having insurance. Once there was no federal penalty, the law became a mandate to buy a service — in this case insurance, the Justice Department argued, according to Fortune.”

An attempt to repeal Obamacare failed last year, but Trump did manage to pass his tax cuts bill in December, which eliminated the penalty of Obamacare’s individual mandate.

Without the penalty, Attorney General Sessions argues that the law is unconstitutional. The only reason it was allowed to stand, was because of the tax associated with the mandate.

But now that the tax is gone, the government can’t lawfully force anyone to buy insurance. That makes the law itself un-Constitutional.

And in turn, the Department of Justice might be able to eliminate all of Obamacare, based on those grounds. Finally!

I’m sure Trump knew this all along. When he managed to eliminate the penalty, he knew it would cause a ripple effect that would take down the program once and for all.

We also know that Obamacare has been a failure since day one. It resulted in fewer options for Americans—not to mention rising costs for everyone.

The Obamacare market was greatly limiting; and the individual mandate was nothing more than a huge slap in the face for most taxpayers.

However, with this new lawsuit against the law, we might see a big win for the Trump administration. Hopefully soon, Obamacare will only be a very bad memory.
