Every time we turn around, it feels like Democrats are getting in the way of relief for America.

Maybe that’s just my perception as a concerned citizen.

But Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer just moved to oppose the latest relief bill.

And even worse, the Treasury is requesting more funds for small businesses, but the Democrats just blocked the funding bill. Last I checked, small businesses were the backbone of this country.

Here’s what Pelosi said. From The Daily Wire:

In her weekly news conference, Pelosi made the shocking claim that American small businesses are not in desperate need of help, claiming there’s “no data” to support expanding the Paycheck Protection Program.

Can you believe that?

And she’s using this as an excuse to slow down the Republican bill to get small businesses the funds they need. Why? Apparently so she can make sure money gets to certain special interests:

Pelosi and Democrats want money earmarked for “community-based financial institutions that serve farmers, family, women, minority and veteran-owned small businesses and nonprofits in rural, tribal, suburban and urban communities across our country” — requirements that would complicate the first-come, first-served nature of the program with further government checks and red tape.

Really? We think Democrats blocking this bill so they can control who gets the money is unacceptable.

McConnell warned that the $350 billion Paycheck Protection Program fund wouldn’t last past April. Which would leave many small business owners high and dry.

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said these funds are “going fast.” Some banks like Wells Fargo have already hit their lending capacity.

How does this not qualify as evidence? How can Pelosi say there’s “no data”?

At the same time, Pelosi wants funds to be given only to “specific” citizens. She apparently only wants to help women, farmers, and minorities, and they need to be in “rural, tribal, suburban, and urban communities.”

I don’t really know what she’s talking about. All I know is, it seems many small businesses desperately need help right now, and Pelosi doesn’t want to give it to them.

She only wants to give it to people SHE deems worthy. Is that what equality is all about…?

I’m sorry, but I only see this as more obstruction from Democrats. Wouldn’t you agree?
