Rep. Crockett Exposed by DC Staff, Abuses Workers and Never Shows Up for Work

In today’s Democratic Party, going viral matters more than going to work. While millions of Americans clock in daily to serve their communities, some elected officials have discovered that inflammatory tweets pay better than actual governance. Sound familiar?

Behind the carefully crafted social media personas and cable news soundbites lies a troubling reality. Some of our loudest political voices barely show up to do the work they were elected to perform. Instead, they’re building personal brands on taxpayer time. They treat public service as a stepping stone to influencer status. Not as a duty to voters.

But here’s where it gets really bad. Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett is exactly like this new breed of performative politician. She’s made a name for herself with viral committee outbursts. She attacks Republicans every chance she gets. Yet congressional aides tell The Post something shocking.

From the New York Post:

Rep. Jasmine Crockett has positioned herself as an unfiltered critic of President Trump, earning regular TV appearances and an enthusiastic online following, but congressional aides tell The Post that the Dallas Democrat is just as “rude” and mean to her own staff…

…three sources who have worked with or for Crockett say she’s rarely present when TV cameras aren’t rolling — and terrorizes staff when she does appear.

Crockett is not often found at her government-provided suite in the Longworth House Office Building, with one insider saying she prefers to work from her nearby luxury apartment building, sometimes for weeks on end.

“She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them,” a former aide revealed. Another source confirmed what many suspected: “She is focused almost exclusively on being an influencer, not a member of Congress.”

Abuse of Power

The details of Crockett’s treatment of staff paint a picture of shocking selfishness. Every week, she makes a staffer rent a Cadillac Escalade. Or some other luxury vehicle. Why? To chauffeur her the short distance to her office.

Think about that. The congresswoman sits in the backseat while her aide stands outside. Opening doors like a valet. Insiders call it a deliberate “power play” to humiliate subordinates. You can’t make this stuff up.

On one occasion, Crockett reduced a legislative aide to tears. She screamed: “Do you really want to be here? And if not, you can leave!” The toxic environment has led to massive staff turnover. Some former aides refuse to speak out. They fear retribution. She’s even being compared to the late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee. That’s the woman long considered Congress’s toughest boss.

The Liberal Hypocrisy

But wait, it gets worse. Crockett’s private behavior completely contradicts her public persona. She claims to champion marginalized communities. Yet when her gay and lesbian staffers objected to something offensive, her response was stunning.

Here’s another shocker. A young Black woman on her staff was fired abruptly. She confided to colleagues: “I don’t want to hear Jasmine Crockett talk about helping black women when she just fired one for no reason!”

Meanwhile, Crockett was caught cutting in front of handicapped passengers to board a flight. Can you believe it? It’s the perfect metaphor for her me-first approach to public service.

Her narcissism goes even further. According to The Atlantic, she keeps a headshot of herself as her phone screensaver. She believes Democrats should have backed her for a committee chair position. Why? Because of her social media following. Not her work. Not her ideas. Her follower count.

This is what passes for Democratic leadership today. All performance, no substance. All talk, no action. While hardworking Americans show up every day, politicians like Crockett treat public office as a personal branding opportunity. They’re more interested in viral moments than veterans’ issues. More focused on cable news hits than helping constituents.

The American people deserve better. We deserve representatives who actually show up to work. Every single day. Not just when the cameras are rolling.
