We know that, for many years, our country has attacked Christians. Social justice warriors have fought to give gay people more rights than everyone else.
Time and again gays have been able to attack, sue, or destroy the livelihoods of Americans. Simply because they disagreed with their sexual orientation. Even though millions of Christians take exception to homosexuality, we are told gays should have more rights than everyone else.
This is a pattern on the left. They prop up minorities groups as constant victims. Because of their “victimhood,” liberals demand they are treated better than anyone else. Even if that means our First Amendment rights are trampled on.
Such was the case when a Christian bakery refused to make a cake for a gay wedding. Under normal circumstances, the couple could have gone somewhere else. But because they wanted to persecute a Christian, they took the man to court.
Colorado tried to destroy the man’s business—over his faith. They put the rights of a gay couple over the religious rights of an American. The issue went all the way to the Supreme Court.
And they just made their ruling.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed a victory on narrow grounds to a Colorado Christian baker who refused for religious reasons to make a wedding cake for a gay couple, stopping short of setting a major precedent allowing people to claim exemptions from anti-discrimination laws based on religious beliefs.
The justices, in a 7-2 decision, said the Colorado Civil Rights Commission showed an impermissible hostility toward religion when it found that baker Jack Phillips violated the state’s anti-discrimination law by rebuffing gay couple David Mullins and Charlie Craig in 2012. The state law bars businesses from refusing service based on race, sex, marital status or sexual orientation.
The ruling concluded that the commission violated Phillips’ religious rights under the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment.
It was painfully clear that Colorado was discriminating against the baker. They wanted to destroy him because of his religious beliefs. Thankfully, the Supreme Court was wise enough to see how the Colorado Civil Rights Commission was attacking his First Amendment rights.
Most Christians do not agree with gay marriage. But they are not about to mistreat or persecute homosexuals. This man simply did not want to bake them a cake. Most businesses refuse the right to refuse service to a customer. That’s normal. This couple wanted to make this man an example to the rest of our country. “Do what we say or we’ll destroy you.” That’s the kind of hostility and tyranny the left has come to represent.
Without the Supreme Court weighing in, gay activists would have gone to war with Christians everywhere. Their sense of entitlement and “victimhood” would have allowed them to attack our First Amendment rights.
This ruling is a victory for every in American, not just Christians. Each one of us must stand up for our rights. Those rights protected by the Constitution must not be violated, for any reason. We need to stand up to radical activists who would destroy our values, for their own gain.
Make no mistake, they will try again.
