Democrats have spent the last three years accusing Trump of trying to “steal” the 2020 Election. They point to his ongoing claims that the election was not legitimate. At the time, President Trump called on Congress to decertify the election results in several states.
Numerous state lawmakers called on Vice President Pence to do that—but he refused.
Joe Biden himself has pushed the narrative that Trump is a “threat” to democracy, over these claims. But now, several Democrats in the House are hinting at their own scheme to keep Trump out of the White House. And it’s worse than what they have accused Trump of doing.

Numerous House Democrats have signaled that they would not certify a 2024 presidential election win from Donald Trump, relying on the 14th Amendment to claim Trump is an insurrectionist and thus ineligible from holding office.Democrats including Reps. House Democrats seem to be suggesting they will not vote to certify a Trump 2024 victory—even if the results clearly show him as the winner. While they accused Trump of trying to undermine an election, they seem to be planning on actually doing that.
Democrats continue to bang the drum that Trump is ineligible for public office, over the 14th Amendment. But their claims rest on whether or not Trump actually committed “insurrection” and if the 14th Amendment even applies to this situation.
All that can be decided by the Supreme Court. It is currently hearing arguments over this very issue. And signs point to the entire court, both liberals and conservatives, siding for Trump.
Should the courts rule that Trump is eligible to appear on the ballot, House Democrats’ plans hold no water. If the courts rule Trump can run, and the people vote for him, Democrats have no basis for voting against certifying the election. They will be voting against the will of the people and the democratic outcome of the election.
Despite all their objections and claims, they will be the ones threatening democracy. Which, of course, is what Donald Trump has been saying all along. The left will only further prove Trump’s attacks against them.
