Nancy Pelosi has spent months criticizing President Trump and Republicans over the pandemic.
She has even called Republicans “enemies of the state,” which some Republicans said could incite violence.
But it has been Pelosi and her party that have refused to provide support to the millions of Americans under government-mandated lockdowns.
For months she has stonewalled, refusing to meaningfully negotiate with Republicans to craft a new relief package.
Many have accused her of holding a bill hostage for political gain—claiming she is abusing her power.
So, five Republicans penned a letter demanding permanent change:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has consistently demonstrated both an inability and unwillingness to govern, and her complicit alliance with the extremists of the far left put the future and well-being of the United States of America in peril. Our nation cannot afford to wait until January to end her toxic leadership and chart a new and better course. Congress must immediately move forward on a resolution to “vacate the chair” and thereby remove Pelosi as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Five Republican lawmakers are demanding a resolution to “vacate the chair” to remove Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
They cite her unwillingness to work with lawmakers to craft a deal. Also, they say she is working with “extremists” of the far left to put America in peril.
While Nancy’s fate might be decided next year, these Republicans demand we cannot even wait that long.
It’s true that Pelosi and her House Democrats appeared unwilling to condemn violent riots that swept over numerous cities over the Summer.
Only recently has she commented on the violence, but refused to call for an end to riots—or call out the groups behind them.
On numerous occasions, Republicans wanted to work with her to craft a bill to help struggling Americans.
They even crafted a police reform bill in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death.
Pelosi and her allies rejected all of it.
In addition to this, we cannot forget how Pelosi’s shown disrespect to the president, tearing up his SOTU address.
Remember, when Trump was working to contain COVID-19 in January/February, Pelosi was in Chinatown, urging Americans to travel.
It seems these Republicans have good reason to want Pelosi gone.
Perhaps she will only lose her seat when voters give Republicans a majority again?
- Five Republican lawmakers have called for the House to remove Pelosi as Speaker.
- Pelosi has stonewalled progress in COVID relief packages.
- Republicans also accuse her of working with extremists during leftist unrest.
