That’s the case for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who was impeached by one house in the state legislature — but the impeachment has only boosted Paxton’s status among voters.

In a press release from Ken Paxton’s office, he disclosed that in the near ‘two months after the House’s sham and illegal impeachment, Attorney General Ken Paxton raised $1.7 million dollars in 11 days.’
Those are personal fundraising records, according to the news outlet, and Paxton has fought back against the impeachment as “unfounded” and “politically motivated.”
The Texas House accused Paxton of alleged bribery and abuse of public trust during his impeachment in May. The Texas Senate must hold a trial to determine the final outcome of the impeachment.
Paxton came out swinging after the House proceedings and hasn’t let up since, as donor support surged for the attorney general who is gearing up for a fierce fight.
