Politicians across the country may think parents shouldn’t control their own children, but when it comes to this hot button issue, leftists shouldn’t mess with Texas kids. The left has grown out of control trying to tell parents and children how to live their lives.
The left wants to take away decisions about school children and order parents and students to do whatever they’re told. This power trip is crumbling as more parents get involved and force changes in school districts. Parents want, and know, what’s best for their children both physically and psychologically.
Parents are responsible for the decisions affecting their children. The left is feeling the heat in this Texas school district that has rejected leftist cultural ideology.

A Texas school district has banned trans-identifying students from using the bathroom of the opposite sex and prohibited school staff from promoting preferred pronouns.
The new policies “lay the groundwork for protecting kids and educators,” said Charles Randklev, the Keller school board president.
Keller Independent School District just north of Fort Worth isn’t a small school district – it has about 34,000 students – and the vote for these policies wasn’t even close at 5-0, according to the news report. One school board member abstained, and another was absent.
These actions set the district apart from liberal districts that have been forcing educators to bow to LGBT-favorable policies, including hiding gender discussions with students from parents. The new policies were straightforward for district staff, parents, and students.

One of the policies states that district employees “shall not promote, encourage, or require the use of pronouns that are inconsistent with a student’s or other person’s biological sex.”
Another new policy requires students to use the bathroom and locker room that “corresponds to their gender assigned at birth.” However, schools may allow students to use a single-stall restroom.
School districts that have forced transgender-promoting policies on staff, parents, and students has been confusing at best and oppressive at worst. Everyone involved in a school district needs to be protected physically and psychologically without being manipulated or abused.
“We hope to see school board trustees across Texas and Nationally, do the right thing for children and focus on teaching the basics rather than pushing a political agenda,” said Kenya Alu, executive director for Citizens Defending Freedom of Tarrant County (Texas).
This school district has taken a huge step forward to protect the students it serves and set an example for other districts to follow. It’s good to see school board members and parents rallying for the best interests of children.
