What’s Happening:
It’s no secret that Disney has become “woke” in recent years. They have used beloved franchises to push leftist politics–to the dismay of millions of Americans. Last year, they upset many fans when they released a Lightyear film. But instead of casting the icon actor to reprise his role, they picked liberal actor Chris Evans instead. Meanwhile, the movie shocked fans with far-left propaganda.
Well, it looks like Disney may have recovered some of their senses. As the company struggles to recover from a terrible 2022, they have made an announcement that will make millions happy. And the man who made Buzz Lightyear a household name took to Twitter to share the good news.
From Breitbart:
Actor Tim Allen will reportedly return to voice the character Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Toy Story 5 Disney now has in the works after Chris Evans replaced him in the woke Lightyear movie that flopped at the box office last year.
Tim Allen appeared to confirm his return to the franchise in a post on Twitter Wednesday after news broke Disney will be continuing the Toy Story series with a fifth instalment.
“See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond!” Allen said as he shared a photo of the character Buzz Lightyear.

Wow! Tim Allen appears to have confirmed that he will be returning to voice Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Toy Story 5. This will be the fifth time Allen has played Lightyear. The Toy Story franchise has been one of Disney’s biggest successes, a film series that has spanned nearly 30 years.
But to the shock of many, the standalone origin story of Lightyear bombed. This was partly due to the recasting of Lightyear, with Disney picking Evans over Allen. On top of that, families chose not to see the film, which featured a lesbian couple kissing.
It seems Disney has pushed woke, left-wing content over simple, family-friend entertainment. And that has hurt their bottom line, big time. The company announced this week it will lay off over 7,000 employees and restructure many of its internal departments.
But it looks as if they are making some smart choices. Planning a fifth Toy Story film is a no-brainer. And bringing back Tim Allen as Lightyear was a must. Details of the film have yet to be released, but this is a big step in the right direction, for many fans.
Key Takeaways:
- Tim Allen will return to voice Buzz Lightyear in the next Toy Story film.
- A standalone Buzz Lightyear film starring Chris Evans bombed last year.
- Allen has played Buzz since the first Toy Story movie, in 1995.
